Had an interesting and thrilling dream last night (multiple actually, but I'll start with this) I found that my father is a vampire lord and for some reason we come to an impasse that required one of us to give Knorne his fill. The funny thing about this 'duel' is that it reminded me of the Frenchy that I fought in Chivalry, I parried or blocked every attack of the Vampire, and every so often I sneaked a hit in taking off about 10% life, but the disbelief in his eyes made it a greater feat than I initially believed.
(Incase yer wondering about the 10% life thing, his hp bar was indicated by a symbol on the wall, similar to the Egyptian eye symbol, the lines made of blood and a portion of it going dark each time I wounded the vampire)
In the end he was exhausted and I was in a trance of blood-rage; I opened him up from balls to brains with a single swipe. I smote his ruin and the dream ended. (or that's all I remember anyway)

I'm always having dreams about Miss Piranda, a belly dancing and beauty contest, I've had about 8-10 dreams in the last weeks. I like belly dancing girls, sure, but this is out of control.
By the way, I am not trolling. This is serious.

OkI just had a pretty intereting dream. Here's the summary:
First I was playing some sort of combination between Heroes III and Civ III, next I was out in town in the evening where I met some of my friends and two new girls, one Caucasian and one Asian. Next we took the bus and in the end I managed to convince the two girls to come with me on a trip to the seaside in May. Then I posted all this on HC in a new thread and some of you replied. I could only distinguish gnomes' name and avatar and Corribus. Then I wanted to ask Corribus if the thread was better in the VW (I think it was in the Tavern). Then I woke up.

Had a dream where I downloaded H6 and started playing it. After finishing the first campaign I had to go to bed, but when I wanted to exit H6, the game wouldn't close at all. I've tried everything - from Ctrl+Alt+Delete to unplugging the computer.
Then Elvin came along and asked me to play hotseat with him. I refused because it was already past midnight and I was feeling sleepy. Elvin nodded as if he was saying: "Yeah, okay, I understand you."
Right then Ghost appeared and he started saying something weird (not that I was surprised).
That's it.

Not too much at all. I think I have longer posts in this thread than that.
Are all your dreams so against you or are those just the ones that you remember? From reading that post it seems that most of your dreams are associated with something negative. Such a waste of good entertainment.

Amazing, thanks for sharing. I have only occasionally had full control of my dreams and it has been a while since the last time. Of course I haven't actively worked on controlling my dreams either and my recent sleep schedule doesn't help. I sleep little and get up pretty early so there is no time for recalling my dreams.
It is unfortunate that you have so much to fight against, even with all your dream awareness. At least in my case, most fights for my life are so adrenaline fueled that it's fun. I once told off my sister for waking me from a nightmare And how I love the lingering emotions, sometimes they can make you feel weird throughout the day.
Ah sleep paralysis, had one such dream recently. I was with a female friend, staying at a room with a middle aged woman. We had realized that she was a witch and would try to kill us sooner or later but for the time being she was asleep. Decisions decisions.. My friend said nevermind, she is no harm to us yet. I sat there staring at her. Time went by. Something was amiss. That dreamlike feeling.. Formulas, diagrams and mysterious writings swimming before my eyes. Had I fallen asleep watching her? I look at her sleeping face almost entranced. Her eyes snap open. Snow. She now stands over me and I cannot move a muscle. I struggle mentally and physically, wake up, wake up! One hell of an awakening I might add, still half paralyzed from the dream
Aside from the occasional otherworldly element, my dream senses have reached a point where it's hard to tell dream from reality. Senses are reproduced pretty accurately from touch, heat, health, pain, even the state of drowsiness, falling asleep and waking up(in a dream). No recurring dreams though there are sometimes references to dream places I have been to. I don't remember ever seeing a mirror though it is possible that I just didn't pay attention to it.

The old dream: The maximum power of the AI​​. And AI said (EFFECT behavior) impossible (more power!) So I went in the direction of, and I playing a terrible way. (I rejected Power field etc). Map out the invisible people are allied. But the AI went to strike. The game came to a halt.
Hm in the dream I had over 100 level. Higher skills, new icons, backgrounds.
Hm I tried to kill the AI army, but it grew back, and later it became a different beast.

10 hours? Wtf, that must have been bad.
Hulk smash  Damn, that is a dream I'd like to have. Speaking about feeling like you are part of a game, I was in a dream where I was in some kind of mission and some kind of brute surprises me and throws me, slamming my back on the ground. Argh. Then I suddenly feel like I have the option of switching fighting modes! No interface, just a mental command. I chose a brutish style, slow but hard hitting and beat him up ^^ I could feel the difference, I knew I was faster and not as powerful normally which made it feel strange. Amusingly at the time I had only trained in aikido which is pretty much the opposite.
Speaking of aikido I had had some dreams where I used aikido. In the beginning my moves were effortless and 100% effective. As my aikido skill grew so did my dream senses. My rolls and moves started becoming more realistic, just like the feel of contact and body control. Earlier they lacked.. substance, feel. Sometimes I had to struggle because my opponent was much stronger and could resist my techniques. I have not used aikido in dreams for a long time now and after the army I started practicing kali so I wonder what I will be using next time I find myself in a fight. Such dreams are not all that common mind you.

Thank goodness my dreams aren't nearly as weird as some of these.  Mine are usually a confused jumble, with 3-4 dreamtime minutes that I remember afterwards, though I do have my share of lucid dreams - I rarely acquire full-on GM status, but still.
When I do, I'm either woken up prematurely, or I have my heart broken... and yet I treasure all of them. They have a particular penchant of running best-case scenarios of my worst mistakes, or rather create idyllic patches of their own from scratch, but by the nature of these dreams, I always know they never really happened, and I wake up dying a little bit inside.

Never had any dreams about atoning for past mistakes. It's almost always something random Love the emotion after-effect, it is an amazing experience.

I recalled a recurring spot in a dream today. I've never written here about it but it's a place I often visit in my dreams. Never recurring dreams about the place but different dreams, always the same place.
I'm a rather experienced fisher, I have always liked to fish when I just have the time. These dreams are all related to it. Some are good dreams, some are exciting, adventurous dreams while some are sad, longing dreams. The thing in common with all of them is a certain stream and lake combination.
There's a rather small, narrow lake. The shore is about 4-5 meters deep and the birch trees are arching over the shore waters. There's only little underwater vegetation, it's easy to tell because the water is clear. I am often in a canoe trolling down towards an island in the middle of a strait. In the strait near besides the island the lake turns into a stream and there are rapids after passing the island. These go on for around 300-400 meters. There are a few larger drops of a meter or so that take careful maneuvering to get past without crashing or dipping. It's rather twisty, with only one longer 150 meter rapid and the rest are constantly turning left or right. It's not too wide, perhaps 10m on average and 15 at most. After a while it widens to 30 meters at most and around 20 on average and calms down. It breaks down to a few parallel dreams that veer off and come together again at random intervals. It is shallow enough to walk and not go deeper than your chest at most places, with a lot of shallow areas reaching only to your knees. Here I am often casting. Sometimes I come to this place without visiting the lake upstream.
It's a lovely place. Water moving on it's own pace slowly waving the vegetation underwater. Dozens of small streams making tens of corners, turns and small islands no larger than a few square meters. Soft sand and small round pebbles covering the bottom of the stream with a few bigger rocks here and there. All this under the protection of the lush deciduous forest. In no rush I prepare my fishing gear and possibly give some pointers to my brother at where and what to try. Then I usually head over to a certain corner of a 3m wide stream with a nice little hole on the bottom. It's my favourite spot, there's just enough water to be able to walk and not get too wet, yet the hole makes for deeper water and I know a rock there that is home to a larger trout. Sometimes there's another guy there, I just pass him and go to the other side of the corner to check a smaller hole and a pocket in the stream, home to smaller, but more numerous trouts. In time I usually manage to at least get the larger one out from it's hiding to catch a clear sight of it. Sometimes I even lure it out just enough to make it see the other fisherman there and ensure it will live on to another day.
There are times when I am to come to the stream with family/friends and there has been a hotel that someone has built quite close to the stream, they're also selling fishing permits there. We take residence in the hotel and reserve the permits for fishing, then we go to walk along the stream. A lot of the time it is dead. If not completely dry there is barely enough water to manage a very small trickle not more than 20-30cm wide and a few centimeters deep. I then head to my favourite spot to find that there is still some water there but gone is all the calming running water and left are only the deeper areas. Sadly I usually prepare my fishing equipment there and usually point my brother to the larger hole, if there is another fisher there to the small pocket while I go to the smaller hole regardles. We spend almost the whole day fishing there with different lures, positions and tactics but we don't see a single soul. Then, when it's nearly sundown I catch a small sparkle in the larger hole. With a lot of careful maneuvering I manage to lure the fish from it's hiding place next to the rock long enough to get a better look. It looks thin and malnuorished, starving, without a doubt the last resident of the dying stream. With a heavy feeling over my heart we leave the stream leaving the lone trout to die.
I don't often have any idea why the stream is dying, no one really knows why. Sometimes it is due to a construction damping the stream on the upstream. Most often it's just an undetermined cause, those are hard to bear. Losing something that's deeply important to you.
Depending on the type of visit I make to the place in my dreams I might be depressed or revitalised for the coming day when I wake up. It has a strong connection to my psyche.

I've had a couple of bried=f dreams this night and the night before.
In the first, I was at a festival somehwere and a woman kept smiling at me, I thought she was a Gypsy bu the way she looked and was dressed.
In another brief sequence I was Spider-Man. I wish it had been longer.
