error. i make no error. i am the riddle master ofcourse
niceguy got it right. he bought a round ticket for himself and a one way ticket for his wife
next riddle
1 and 1
a starving rabbit came to a patch of lettuce sorrounded by a picket fence. the rabit must eat soon or suffer death. the problem was that the rabbit could barely get through the fence. if he were to go inside and eat the lettuce he would be too fat to return through the fence when the farmer returns. but if the rabbit tried to push the lettuce through the fence he would realize the lettuce is too big. how can the rabbit manage to eat the lettuce and still escape?

eat half the lettuce inside the fence so the lettuce is smaller but he/she is only slightly bigger, then push the lettuce out and eat after escape

He went through the fence, push the lettuce directly to the fence, goes back through the fence again and eat the lettuce only with head leaning through the fence, so he can grow fat as he wants, only the head has to go back through the fence again....

Push the lettuce up against the picket fence, then the rabbit can stick it's head through and eat the lettuce because it's close enough to reach without going through.

Damn you Angelito and getting the post off while I'm posting. Yarg! Once again I lose my points by minutes.
Edit: Alright I'll come up with a different solution then. The Rabbit chews lettuce off into smaller chunks, but doesn't eat it, and then pushes the chunks through the fence, then goes and eats the chunks on the other side of the fence.

lol. i was watching u guys look at this thread through "whos online". i had a feeling this would happen.
i will give u both 1 point
next riddle
2 and 2
there was a contest were there was a glass box in a room with 500,000 one dollar note inside. for a fee of $5 a person could guess how many was inside the box. in the end a short, stocky bald man named George won. the seal was broken and it was discovered that there were only $460,000 inside. Jerry was responsible for eclosing the money and was questioned by Detective Reb Forr. Jerry gave the following recount "3 days before the competition i went and got the money from CommunityBank out of my account. i then despoited the money at my house and went out. 2 days before the competition i personally counted each bill by hand, twice. it is possible that i was wrong by maybe 100 or 200 but not 40,000. i have been out of town the last few weeks so maybe sometime then money was stolen."
Reb Forr is sure Jerey is lying. How can Forr be so sure?

It would be impossible to count each bill by hand, twice. At the fastest I'd say you can count between 2 and 3 bills a second, so it would take around 200,000 seconds to count all 500,000. But to do it twice it would take 400,000 seconds.
400,000 seconds * (1 minute / 60 seconds) = 6666.6666667 minutes
6666.6666667 minutes * (1 hour / 60 minutes) = 111.111111 hours
111.111111 hours * (1 day / 24 hours) = 4.629629629 days.
This means he wouldn't have finished counting each bill until well after the contest had started.

John was about to die. his wife was giving birth. he told his will to Murray, who was next to him at the time. "if the child is a boy, i want the boy to be given 2/3 of my estate, and 1/3 to my wife. should the child turn out to be a girl, i want 2/3 of my estate to go to my wife and 1/3 to the girl."
John died and johns wife, jess, gave birth to twins, 1 boy and the other a girl. Murray then came in and told jess of the will. this turned out to be a problem since there was a boy and a girl. Jess' mum, Gem, then came in and heard eveything. then jess' my told them of how to deal with the problem? what did Gem say?

and his daughter gets 1/7
this is because the guy wanted his son to have twice as much as his wife, and his daughter to have half as much as his wife, therefore this would fit the mans (sexist) wishes

I have done a similar reasoning:
I thought the following equivalence:
2 girl = 1 wife 1 case (birth of girl)
2 wife = 1 boy 2 case (birth of boy)
to make both of them true the sum must be the total:
1 + 2 + 4 = 7
so the proportions are the same written by mr nice_guy
1/7 2/7 4/7 (GIRL, WIFE, BOY)
