Poll Question: Don't you guys ever felt "spoiled" with all of these information?
I just felt like I've heard too much about Heroes4 even before the game itself come out. One of the most interesting thing I ever enjoyed from playing Heroes2&3 the first time is to find out the new stuffs in the game.
Preview infos are okay, but some of you guys is just too "resourceful" to give almost all the informations. The new creatures, the new skills ,the new anything. It's what I called spoilers. I just wanted to be a virgin gamer everytime I play a new game, especially my favorite: the Heroes series. Come to think about it. Even the 3do's official Heroes4 site is not yet opened.
Sorry, I mean no offense, I just don't like people to leak too much information about this game. Just like I said before, to tell some of the game's features are okay, I enjoy it, but please once you guys once know more about stuff that are not supposed to be told before the game come out, just wait until it does and that will be the perfect time to talk all about the game.
Some people may say "If you don't want to know too much, don't visit this site, then". I love this site and I visit it frequently, but I just don't like to be spoiled through this site. It's also my fault because I can't resist the urge to open messages like "The HoMM4 creature list" or "The HoMM4 complete list on everything", so I just recommend not to put too much messages like this.
Okay, how about this. I put a poll, so I just want to see how many people like to know much and how many people don't.

The heroes 4 altar of wishes is a place where we talk ALL about homm4. We talk about what we would like to see in it and we talk about what is actually going to be in the game.
I know (allmost) all avaliable information on homm4 so far and i like to know about it.
If there are some really stupid things in the game, i wouldnīt be able to comment on them untill the game is in stores, wich would be too late. I love everything about the game so far and i like hearing new info.
Spoilers are very common when new game info is avaliable (no matter what game). You like this site very much, but you donīt want us to tell you new info. Well the only advise i can give you is to stay away from the altar of wishes.
You say you want to see the game when it comes out, wich is cool. So you donīt want to know info yet. Yet you also say you canīt keep yourself from looking at it. Obviously youīre not strong enough to keep yourself from looking at it.
Spoilers are very common for any game, you canīt expect us to stop posting them because you canīt resist looking at it.

Listen we are the ones who will be buying the game i think we should know clearly what we are getting for our money and complain if they add things that we dont want. THATS THE WAY IT SHOULD WORK!
Why visit a heroes site if you wanted a total surprise when you open the box? Come on admit it you crave the power of knowledge just like the rest of us!

Somehow, I think there will be more surprises waiting for us in Heroes 4 than we'ved imagined yet. Some good, some bad. For now, trying to figure out what the game so many of us are eagerly waiting for is going to be like is a little like picking up a carefully wrapped present , and shaking it, trying to guess what it is. We have hints, we have clues, we know what we might like, and we're trying to guess if that's indeed what we got.
Of course, the day it actually comes out, I predict the board will be curiously quiet. I think we'll be too busy playing with our new toy to share with anybody.
And, if on that day, for some reason I'm not busy installing and playing the game, and somebody posts a lot of information here about what's REALLY going on, I won't feel like my personal surprise has been spoiled.
Finally, sharing what information we have been able to glean so far, and speculating about it is a good way to keep our spirits up while we wait for that elusive release date. "Spoilers" in this case may be far more preferable to having to say "Gee, I wish it was out now. I wonder if I'll like it?". On a purely cynical note, that's why 3DO releases little bits of information...to generate interest in the game, to tease us, to make us want more. And, dammit, in my case, it's working!

Not really...
I sometimes run into threads were everything is already said what I wanted to say so...

I didn't had to write bigger message because you said what I was thinking.
But it isn't really working for me. I mean the tactic that 3DO let's only small amounts of information out. I think that is lack of respect towards the fans of the game more than anything else. I don't buy that "be ready to be surprised" and the all hiding behind "It's all new. Period".
That doesn't really tell those that have played game before what it is really about and it just makes me feel that even gamecompany doesn't know what kind of game it is going to be and I just have to be guessing it. Especially if we look that game is coming this fall there haven't been so much info up or you have had dig it up. Just simple thing like creature list isn't out yet...
Vesuvius was very right when he talked about how 3DO handles fans. Not with friendliness at all...

None of this stuff is really spoiler info because it will all be in the rulebook when the game is released. Spoiler info would be information on the storyline, the maps, how to beat the maps, what hidden surprises you find in the campaign, etc.
But info on creatures, spells, and skills is all just stuff we will learn as soon as we open the rulebook.
