Yes, the GRAPICS are under construction, but they've already realeased the stats. Look at that damage! It's almost lvl 6 damage!

Maybe he could beat a wyren if he attacks first but wyrens are annormally weak! Other than that it is fine. But the speciality is still crazy!!! I say remove that and add both no retaliations and 2 retaliations per turn.
And warden has a CHANCE to retaiate before attacked plus it loses the 5 coin per day thingy. So warden is balanced.

Hmph. I suppose you are correct. Add no retaliation instead of its current special and I'll keep quiet. Warden I'm not so sure about, though...

Hi everybody!
It's actually rather funny to read "Bastion is overpowered" messages for myself. I’ll explain:
Every tester so far complained that Bastion is NOT strong enough!!! Mostly because of low average monster speed and problems with town siege.
1. If you don't have monsters with critical speed of 12 or higher, you can't effectively move around the map.
2. Also, there are only two shooters and one flyer in Bastion which limits it to only three effective town attackers! Yes, Anubis can teleport others, but only by suspending any other action during current move and anyway Anubis is not fast enough to teleport for example Oliphaunts into besieged town before any action started. By the way, Anubis is a reverse shooter, which means that his distant attack is actually weaker then hand to hand damage.
As a result we are currently have hard time thinking about how to INcrease Bastion overall battle value (especially in siege) up to other towns instead of DEcreasing it!
Best regards,
Riand-In.
P.S. I promise - we will not concentrate ourselves on trivial hitpoint, attack, defense or damage skyscraping. More like decreasing it and adding some speed or strengthening specials instead

question about bastion heroes:
1) what does paganpriest Harens dispel talent do?
2) just wondering... where on campaign maps will you plave the country?
a new continent suddenly emerges from another dimension? a new continent falls down from heaven as a meteorite and people down there die, making all people left angry on them, giving a plot to campaign? a new continent and massive desert is suddenly found in a desolate region?
or is it a secret right now?

For this I can answer: basically Haren can dispel multiple targets.
As for your second question about new land, I presume that Efrit would better come here and make a statement

I have to agree with you. Let's start. When you have speed increasing artifact, it won't be a problem. Plus as Dragonbreathe said, Oliphaunt has the highest stats among the other level 6 creatures. When you cast Mass Speed-The most effective Bastion Spell-Oliphaunts' speed would be no problem. The level one creature weakness? Huh! You can simply ERASE them with Anubis Servants and Anubis Warriors. And also Amts, Ammuts, Sekmeth Priestess' and their upgrades will clean level one creatures from the beggining. So Oliphaunts doesn't have big deal. And since you have Ammuts on your hand with their CRAZY speciality, no level one would resist them. And when we come to our Wardens, they are rebalanced. They have a great speciality indeed, but compare their stats. Maybe a hit point advantage, but another minase of Wardens are that they don't have the awesome "5 coin for each they he stays in garrison" ability. So they are no unbalanced creatures. Scarab and Saint Scarabs are avarege. Only the Saint Scarab's luck ability bothers me a bit. Why luck?! And about Desert Wanderer and Warriors, *wow*. If they don't die among the road before reaching the enemy, they are a terror amongst their tier. They are strong cannon-fodders.Powerful Stats - Provoker and Ice Vulnerability + Fast in Desert. Powerful Overall. And Sekmets...... WORST of their tier. Weaker damage than Desert Warriors + Ranged penalty = VERY low damage. Only 5 more hit points then Desert Wanderers and Warriors? Nonsense. Currently Oliphaunts + Scarabs + Desert Wanderers and Warriors + Sekmeths goes balanced. Amts...... Weak stats + CRAZY ability. You attacked 1000 peasants with 200 amts or ammuts? MUCH MUCH increased damage. I think they are both balanced and unbalanced depending on the numbers on both amt/ammt and the enemy. Anubis Servants and Warriors are simply like Amts/ammuts. I guess they will have low stats compared to other level 7s + Another crazy speciality. We also have a balanced creature here overall. So what do i think? Scarabs + Deserts Wanderers and Warriors + Sekhmets + Am[mu]ts + Oliphaunts + Anubis Servants and Warriors = A balanced town. And i think the final town rate is 10/10 simply it's better desinged even more than some Heroes 3 towns.

Balance of the town does not only depends on pure statistics. It's very important map size (Fortress is very powerfull on S maps due to Wyvern's Nest can be built quickly, heroes speed, their specialities) and so on!
I always thought that game balanace is a score of lots gemetesting not just reading and studying statistic..

That's exactly what I'm talking about! And until now EVERY gametester complained about Bastion strength. Or should I better say weakness.
Best regards,
Riand-In
P.S. Amt specialty is overexpected a bit. For starters, only higher Amt/Ammut damage limit increases when a kill takes place. And by no means Amt/Ammut will keep this damage bonus between battles.

You know something I've found about this game? Might rules, magic drools. Even if you have really flashy spells like meteor shower, if you just have one peasant, you're gonna die, and your uber-spells won't even come into play. However, you can have legions of creatures but not even have a spell book, and you can anihilate anything. Sure, there's always a slow here and a meteor shower there, but if you have a gazillion creatures, who cares? If your creatures have high stats, you are going to beat everything else easily. Scarab and saint scarab are okay, but I think you should lower the speed a tiny bit. Overseer is fine, but warden has the second-highest stats of a lvl 2(I think). Level 3 is okay, and so is lvl 4. Amt has both unreal low health and high damage(Ammut does more than a wyvren I think). The specialty needs to go or be decreased, though. I'll let the oilphants slide because of the speed, but please change battle oilphant's speed to 5 if you want those crazy stats to be balanced. Anubis is fine, but please lower the ability of the teleport. That's just my opinion, though.

thats why the game is called heroes of might AND magic not heroes of might OR magic, ur supposed to use both in conjunction with one another, to create strategies and to overtake the enemy though it is possible to overtake someone with just one of the 2

At the moment, you will be able to add new monsters with "wogify map" option.
