Annoyances (non-Heroes)

Unreal Tournament

*blowing yourself up in tight quarters with you Rocket Launcher or Flak Cannon.
*Getting nuked by a Redeemer after grabbing a Keg-O-Health or Damage Amplifier power-up.
*A nearby rocket blast shakes the area, sending you flying helplessly into space.
*In Morpheus, getting killed in mid-flight while jumping between buildings.
*Getting telefragged.

Warcraft 1: Orcs and Humans

*Getting attacked early by the AI with Knights/Raiders and Catapults.
*Getting surprised by an enemy catapult from outside your line of sight.
*Having to walk your Peasants/Peons clear across the map to reach the next mine.
*The AI sneaks around to kill all of our Peasants/Peons before you have time to react.
*Grrr...those accursed 'unholy armored' enemies!
*The fact that Archers have +1 Range over Spearmen.
*When three or more Daemons come after you all at once.

Warcraft 2: Battle.net Edition

*Those sheep get in the way sometimes.
*Death Knight and Mage rushes.
*Demolition squad and sapper rushes.
*Your Ballista/Catapult attacks a Cannon Tower but it moves close enough to get fired at.
*Your Peasants/Peons get stuck in traffic.
*Getting toasted by your own Dragons/Gryphon Riders.

Fate Of The Dragon

*The whole supply thing; running out of food/wine.
*The enemies attack too often and sometimes too early.
*Getting pummeled from a loooooooong distance by a Stone Thrower.
*Those ladders that allow enemies onto your Walls.
*Later campaign levels are extremely difficult to beat.

War Wind 2: Human Onslaught

*There are too many unbalanced units, structures, and special abilities.
*The fog of war is annoying at times.
*The interface is a bit screwy; like giving units many different commands.
*Planting bombs is a pain in the butt.
*Resources are depleted rather quickly.
*You cannot create new units; you must hire what's available to you and that's it.

Lords Of Magic: Special Edition
*Dealing with those renegate armies.
*Getting attacked repeatedly by hired AI troops just outside their capital.
*Getting attacked by Chaos spells (Polymorph Other!) and turning into chickens.
*Sometimes Balkoth flies into your territory rather early in the game.
*Chasing after a lone Balkoth clear across the map, unable to catch him.
*Attacking a cave and facing tougher creatures than expected.

If you have any annoyances to share, please post some!

ohhhh, nice thread

Final Fantasy:
Enemies destroying you in one go without you getting a chance
Getting close to destroying the final boss but realise its 1:00 in the moring and then you spend the night thinking about the ending

Metal Gear:
Scenes going too long when you have to do something else but didnt save before the scene

Might and Magic:
That stupid blaster guy
Names too hard to remember
Behemoths

Harry Potter:
Finishing the game then realising you wasted 3 hours of your life

Kingdom Hearts:
Heartless that can teleport (man i hate those)

Project Zero:
Ghosts jumping out at you, not annoying but really scary (in a startling way)

Soccer (real life):
Failing miserably (it happens alot)

Unreal Tournament:
*Just when you are about to kill someone - a 3-rd guy comes in and flaks/shocks you both.
*Telefraggers/pistons - not very effective at winning, but extremely annoying.
*When you have tons of armor and tons of health, just to have some noob kill you in 1 flak shot because ALL of the flaks happen to land on you instead of flying all around the guy and not a single one hitting him (i.e. when you fire it).
*Getting smoked on sniper levels by someone standing inside the "secret spot" that you don't know about.

Master of Magic:
*When you have Demi-God Warrax the Chaos Warrior with super arcane power, luck, super agility, etc, with the best artifacts that let him kill storm dragons in 1 hit and never get damaged by most attacks. AI casts Crack Calls and Warrax is gone for good with no chance to resurrect him.

Heroes 3:
*Starting on an extremely poor map with everything around you guarded by marksmen, grand elves, mages and other archers, with no level 2/3 army on the hero, no level 2 prebuilt, no artifacts around you and when EVERY TIME the skill choices you get are eagle eye, navigation, learning and other crap. Your enemy gets all of the opposite, wins (SURPRISE!!!) and then talks about how good he is and how bad you suck at this game.

Real Life:
Surprisingly, I couldn't find many things that really piss me off here (or at least the things that piss me off but which I cannot deal with).

i think it would be fair to say that the worst of all in any game is forgetting to save before a difficult mission or level, and getting killed/losing right when ur near the end, and u lose all the hard work youve done!!

Diablo 2
----------
1.  Having a really good hired mercenary die while you are miles away from a town with no town portal scroll.

2.  Once you DO get back to said town you don't have enough gold to re-hire your old buddy.

3.  Killing a sub-boss and going back to town to freshen up, deposit gold, and buy supplies just so you can go back that way and have that same sub-boss kill the crap out of your surprised @ss.

4.  Running from insane sub-boss only to get surrounded by hundreds of monsters with 70% of them being those teleporting ghosty things.

5.  Having to go to work or school and not being able to find a waypoint in a new area.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
----------------------------
1.  Having a really great item you just acquired get stolen by enemy or taken away by judge.

2.  Sending all your good members out on dispatch missions and accidently running into a story mission or rival clan.

3.  Running around the map until you've found laws that will surely stump your enemy just to find out they have those special badges that will allow them to break the law all they want.  And they will because they can.  I think they laugh at me to.

Super Smash Brothers
----------------------
1.  MASTER HAND

2.  I HATE YOU, YOU FREAKING HAND!

3.  WHY CAN'T I BEAT A STUPID HAND.  I want all those hidden characters so bad.

Well that's about all I can think about.

Mob Rule

*When my men auto-chase a bad guy into enemy territory, so that all the enemy gangsters will protect their buddy and shoot down my guys.
*When an undesirable strikes and I can't stop it (esp. the saboteur).
*When an enemy saboteur messes up the plumbing on my properties.
*When I'm told that a bomb was planted on one of my properties but I cannot find it in time so I can neutralize it.
*When enemy fixers persistently try to take overy my properties.
*When I lose because the enemy didn't maintain their own buildings; the building I need to capture explodes due to the enemy's negligence.

Might And Magic 3: Isles Of Terra

*I have to pay the full price of a weapon/armor whenever I want to repair it.
*Those damage traps (pits, spikes, acid pools).
*Getting attacked by monsters that can kill my characters in one or two hits.
*Getting diseased or poisoned repeatedly.
*Getting cursed (esp. by Sprites).
*Getting aged by a Ghost or Phantom.
*Losing a lot of money because of high-level hirelings' upkeep.
*Whenever I do something that gets my characters eradicated.

Might and Magic:

Getting you characters turned to stone/paralyzed/poisoned/diseased.

Getting surrounded by enemies, stuck so that you have no escape.

Playing the entire game pressing SHIFT to run faster then learning about the TAB key to toggle Always Run.

The unbalanced characters. Minotaurs have nothing going for them.

Morrowind:

Getting diseased, losing all your strength and being encumbered so you have to drop all your stuff, run back to a temple, get healed, and go back to get your stuff.

The Daedra weapons which are worth so much but the only person who will buy them is Creeper which takes about an hour each weapon.

* Noob cannons

Diablo 2:
* Lagmancers
* PvP trap assasins with the item that allows you to teleport.

Gunbound:
* Cheaters, hacks, idiots and racists everywhere... infact they have their own clans.

Max Payne 2:
* That construction yard level where you run around the balconies looking for sniper positions... easy to get lost and time is against you.

Neverwinter Nights:
* Tough bosses that kills you over and over before you can teleport out or take a healing potion... and in the end costing you 2000 experience points and 10k gold when you were only given 500 and a dagger+1 for finally killing him.

Throne Of Darkness

*Having to wait for the Daimyo's resurrection power to fully rejuvinate.
*Chasing those annoying skeleton archers, trying to kill them.
*Getting poisoned by those Tengu demons.
*When my supporting samurai run off into danger and risk getting killed.
*When my last samurai gets killed in the instant of teleporting to safety.
*Those evil sorcerers that do heck of a lot of area damage.
*Getting chased by those wolves.
*The ending of the game.

Warlords III: Darklords Rising

*The game's combat and many other aspects are affected by luck!
*Getting assassinated on multiple turns in combat.
*Running out of movement in rough terrain.
*Having multiple towns conquered by a powerful hero in short time.
*Seeing an enemy discover powerful enemy armies early in the game.
*Getting killed while serching a ruin.
*The Bane's Revenge campaign reused maps from the original missions.
*The diplomacy is screwy.

Lords Of The Realm 2

*The whole economy thing, where you eventually run low on grain and cattle for one reason or another. Once that happens, you can kiss your throne goodbye.
*Building your county's economy to soaring levels, only to watch things tumble after a bout of bad health or an invading army.
*The randomness of events can be too painful sometimes (namely events such as losing food or especially plague).
*AI rulers seem to get by really well despite recent plagues or a collapsing economy.
*Getting your fields and country villages pillaged by the enemy.
*The absurd speed of knights, regardless of who they belong to.
*Accidentally unleashing your vats of boiling oil on your own troops.
*When the enemy's archers manage to destroy your siege equipment early in battle.
*The AI lords really get on your nerves.

Super Mario Bros.

-Playing the Game from 1 in the morning to 1 in the morning. Then trying to go to bed. My head can't stop going through the motions of playing the game. It makes it so I can't sleep. I've got mario on the brain. This is applied to every mario game!

- thinking you've beaten the game, but ohhhh no the game  makes you play it all over again except instead of turtles it's buzzy beetles!

Super Smash Brothers Melee:

-Flipping Link On level 9. What an Arse face!

Final Fantasy Advent Children:

-The Plot...

Final Fantasy 7:

-All the plots that don't add up. Like getting the Soldier pieces, the masamune's that don't do anything... hmmm.
- Fake Rumors, like a silver chocobo that can go into space, or a rainbow chocobo that can travel to different dimensions. Those get on my nerves!

Halo 1 and 2:

-The hype for a mediocre game who's ideas were stolen from the Metroid storyline. Plus Samus would kick Master Chief's Gludeus Maximus to the CURB!

Legendary. Too god damn hard.

Multiplayer:
Pros. Enough said.

Sniper matches. Sometimes I do well but when you dont it's just infuriating.

Someone getting in a ghost and blowing up all the other vehicles. (me haha)

Dawn of War
Damned noobs who hide with eldar when they're practically dead!!!

The ****ness of orks.

When you jump in assault marines and they just get owned on the spot, or all die before you can take out HQ.

Wraithlord rushes!! (hehe when you're on the recieving end)

Prisms. Annoying when they have them, annoying when you have them, annoying because if you don't get them, you might as well give up.

Age of Empires 2

*The plain fact that I suck.
*When your enemy unleashes an army that perfectly counters your own.
*When villagers get stuck while mining or harvesting.
*Replanting farms (no expansion).
*Dealing with enemy trebuchets without any of your calvary around.
*When they wipe out your villagers before your army.
*When your militia or swordsmen get chased and shot down by a single enemy archer.

Diablo 2

*Getting crushed repeatedly by four or more ultra-fast Champion monsters.
*You can't beat your teammates to claiming boss drops because the screen is shaking!
*Running out of room for more items (of course).
*When a corpse explodes underneath your feet.
*Lightning-Enhanced monsters.
*Accidently clicking on a Gem Shrine while entering the scene, using up the shrine!
*Accidently socketing an item while moving equipment around in your backpack...
*Accidentally selling an item you intended to keep.

World of Warcraf

- Getting stupid newbies in the groups who does nonsences and talk gibberish and screw up your dungeon run whenever possible.
- Opposing faction players are jumping with PvP on, when you try to kill a mob with an expectation you will accidently hit them, turn Pvp on and they will own you...
- Opposing faction player and same faction players call you for dueling, when you really don't want to.
- When kiddies come to you and try screwing up whatever you're doing (for example grinding, or waiting for special mob to appear).
- Going into dungeons for specific item and it doesn't drop
- Grinding hours for some lame item for quest with a horrible drop rate...
- Getting "help" from more "experienced" players who tell you how to play your class. (Example with 2 priests in group, while I'm a shadow priest I get "advice" not to use any spells and reserve mana for healing...)
