I suppose you have a point there. If Val had given us the capability of posting larger photos for our avatars, I could have used an entire person instead of a mug shot and we wouldn't have this issue. So really, it all falls back in Val's lap (more Val bashing). Thanks alot jk

actually I was surprised to hear from a few people that they think Im hidding behind a mask (or that they feel that when they talk to me, Im hidding behind a mask).
I always figured I was straight forward and fairly honest about myself.... guess "perception" is everything.
(how did Val assume this was a val bashing thread just because I mentioned his avatar?? someone's got an insecurity complex!  )

Val - Someone who is just getting used to using MS Paint for editing pics.
GuitarGuy - I keep thinking this guy is gay or really whimpy. Who likes sunsets anyway?
Romana - Well by her new one I'd probably think she's from Africa and has too many piercings. I'd guess that she likes to scare people, get people going just for fun.
Leo_Lion - I swear to god I thought he was a ten year old kid when I first saw his avatar. It was irritating actually.
Consis - Petophile. Maybe I just don't like seeing pics of real people in avatars, but to me it always looks awful. In person in a nice frame or in a yearbook, I'd probably like this pic, but for some reason seeing it as an avatar here at HC, I can only think it's creepy.
Shadowcaster - When I first saw this avatar, I thought he was joking. I couldn't see a damn thing. Then I saw the original version and it looked awesome. It seems like avatars just are a bad setting lol.
2Xreme - When you see the avatar along with the name, you know that this guy loves really gory violence and probably read tons of Stephan King.
Lord_Woock - This guy ranks up there with Leo, except much younger. Looks like something a 5 year old would choose.
KittenAngel - I thought she was a really nice person.
Private Hudson - See the Real Life pic, just doesn't work for me. Rather than petophile or annoying 10 year old, we have something I like to call the Retarded Grown-Up.
LKru33 - I never really came to think anything about this guy. But it did remind me of the worst original NES game ever made. Operation Wolf. The interesting thing about this game is that no one owned it when Nintendo was the big thing, yet everyone I know who has an NES owns a copy of Operation Wolf, because everyone bought it for like 2 bucks at K-Mart about 10 years ago back when they used to sell used NES games.

Just so you all know..i didn't change my avatar cause Jebus thought it was scary (sorry to dissapoint you )
But since motherhood i felt my old avatar was misplaced and didn't represent me anymore. (ok..so I aint a black pierced woman either..but atleast she has a broad smile )
ps: I like to scare people, but don't get people going for fun..that's just cruel

It looks like yet another person was undeservingly spared from my hit list by a strategically-placed tongue smilie in his/her post. Yes, you know full well who I'm referring to. I dunno why I choose to be so lenient these days. I'd much prefer smiting my ignorant (yet arrogant) adversaries for their crude and loony utterings.

I'm not sure what my avatar reveals, but I liked the pic when I saw it and decided to go with it. I didn't want an avatar to go with my name at the time, but now I kinda do.
I'm not sure if I should change it again... still considering it.
Anyways, real interesting to see the others talk about their avatars.
- I thought Kitten was a real nice person
- I thought Romana was a tough girl
- I know Jebus and I was there when he talked about choosing it and the whole reason surrounding it.
- I found GG to be a real relaxed guy who takes everything easygoing.

Your avatar reminds me of a scene in the movie "Clash of the Titans" where they had to take a ferry to an island in order to find and kill medusa. The skeleton wearing a hood of some sort collected a coin as a toll before taking the men over in a rickety old row boat.

I just recently finished watching a show a few days ago. In it, an old man painted a painting of a sunset. And he handed it to a guy. At first, the guy thought it was a painting of a sunset, but after a while the guy realised what the old man, who had already passed away, wanted to tell him.
The sunset is actually a sunrise, depending on how you look at it. Try looking at things from a different perspective. I tend to not look at the avatar, but the name.
if some girls name is sunny kitty, I would think she's sort of... happy/gitty kind of silly girl.
But if i see, uhh lets say sinister. I'd think of a quiet sort of evil guy, but not too evil, just kind of shifty.
