I gotta be conservative with my posts, lest I get locked out.

I don't really read western comics per se, but I keep up on the mythology of the various characters.  I do read manga and have a decent sized collection of various series, including One Piece, Bleach, Trigun, and others.

I am a big fan of manga, including Fairy tail, Trigun, Bleach, One piece (Eichiro Oda is a legend!) and Naruto. However, i mainly read it online, as it is so hard to get it in shops on Ireland.

My favourite comic of all times is Laureline et Valérian (in Sweden it's Linda & Valentin though). It's just so.. superb. The bad thing is that I'm terribla at french and they are EXTREMELY expensive in Sweden. Some magazines cost ~100 USD. But they are also EXTREMELY good and I'm seriously thinking about picking up my french again just so I can buy some originals.

Otherwise I'm a fan of the Marlvel comics, Ranma½ and One Piece. At least I was a fan, the past few years have smashed down very hard on my economy so I can't really afford anything.

Oh yes, I'm also a big fan of the MAD Magazine.

And Batman. I've read Megatokyo and The Noob from the start (or, in MT's case, #7), although MT isn't so fun anymore it's still really nice.

EDIT: Ok, the most expensive magazine with Laureline et Valérian is actually near 300USD.

But man they're good.. I mean, REALLY good. Actually, they're INSANE. That's how good they are. Oh, and they're really good, in case I didn't mention it in the post.

A panel I did for an upcoming comic book, based on my own photo. It's strange to see oneself dismembered.

It's all in his head actually - those are all the monsters he had encountered prior to this scene. Those are children of the Shub-Niggurath from another dimension aliens or something.

as of a year ago, I've gotten into western comic books as well. mainly, violent, pathological peices like "The Boys" "Transmetropolitan" and Hellboy, along with my fair share of alan moore stuff, namely Top Ten and League of extraordinary gentlemen.

I also like the mutli-verse collection from DC, placing characters we all know and love in different situations, like Batman in the 16th century, superman from the soviet union and Green lantern as batman.

You might want to try Preacher next...

Thanks to your thread, I gave some manga a chance (having read only Akira before that). While Naruto is not my cup of tea, I'm still reading Death Note, Blade of the Immortal and Berserk... Any other noob suggestions? Been catching up on Tezuka's work as well, although it's too old school in my book.

Guy Ritchie, director of such films as “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrells” and “Snatch,” has signed on to direct a feature film based on Lobo, the ultraviolent DC Comics character. The film is to be PG-13. Ha!

that is going to be rubbish.

I mean, they have a better chance making a movie from Grant morrison's doom patrol.
