Don't desperate cause may be a solution .... try this..
Visit.. www.hamachi.com.. download the VPN client and install it. Surely all your probs will vanish.
All u must to do is join net "heroes03" pass "3" this is my own personal local network, but can create yours, to play with your own comunity, but be carefull .. when u use hamachi can play with other hamachi user. ( You can activate and deactivate hamachi easily)

...in the german community this hamachi thing is very common, cause it provides u with a "LAN enviroment" and solve all the "router-" and "firewallproblems".
...so hamachi gets my full recommandation!!!
