I don't know what to think, It seems awesome!!! then again, it could be the death of nintendo, I mean how do you play SNES games on it? or N64? well 64 may be easier then SNES, there are no shoulder buttons. NES will be great on it, if you can use the controller sideways. I wanna try it out

definately gonna buy a REV now tiny remotes that dont make me look like a nerd when placed next to my TV how can you go wrong?

The Revolution controller fits into other, more conventional controller "skins", and there are also ports for GC controllers as well, IIRC.

It certainly looks cool, but it doesn't look practical at all. The A+B buttons are two of very few buttons at all, they look like the only ones used for gameplay. Also there's only one joystick which makes it harder for shooting games.

Taken from an IGN article.

The controller will allow detection of movement via sensors placed near the television set, meaning that players can swing tennis rackets and point flashlights, among other similar functions. This will, I think, be particularly useful for shooters, but I wonder why they chose that interface, considering Nintendo has so few shooters on the market and even fewer good ones.

Also, here's a mock-up skin according to what the folks at IGN will believe the controller shell that I mentioned will look like:

I see....

Although this is intresting, I somehow expected something a little more...
Unique.
A remote is a cook idea, but a new controler would be fun too. However I expect they were limited by their backwards-compadability thing with the G Cube. Ah well. Unfortuneately, they have not followed the "everythin's chrome in the future" philosophy.

A collapsible controller? That could ruin Nintendo's durability reputation.

Those old N64 controllers were quite durable I heard.

Now this is interesting.  I've been waiting to see some real images of the Revolution.  That is one console I'll be picking up no doubt.  I have so many SNES games I still play.
Rumors have it (if they are still rumors) that many of those games have been re-made with better graphics and sound.  If this is true I'd like to see a cleaned up version of the origional Super Mario RPG.  An ultimate classic before they crapped it up and made the Paper Mario series.

Actually, I heard even the consoles are durable too.

I'm very excited about the Revolution myself. I'm sure people will buy it for the purpose of downloading treasures from the company's past consoles.
