The Way of the Peasant!
From the very beginning, he has always been there... one of the chosen few who survived... he is A MUST... he is the legend of Heroes of Might and Magic.. he is the backbone of the society... he is - the Peasant!

It's H1 this time, because he looks most like a human. Although I like the H3 peasants, they somehow look too undead.
And the H4/H5 versions were deliberately made fat and dumb, with H5 additionally featuring ridiculously strong arms.

thats strange, i dont remember a peasant in H3, i must be going crazy
any way i like the peasant with the scythe, the H4 one looks like a goblin and the H5 one's shirt looks too fluorescent

Thought peasants are meant to be poor... how on earth did the homm5 guy afford so much food to end up that overweight? well, at least its got character

There were fat peasants, remember all they really ate were potatoes (empty carbs )
I prefer the H2 ones. wonder if there going to have 1 of each stat or like H4 and have 10 hp.

I prefer H4 - especially the way he picks his ear!
As for his stomach - blame it on ale and unhealthy diet.

For me this is the first creature that really improved from eralier versions. My vote goes to H5.

Perhaps their kings and lords got soft hearted... who knows... perhaps communism came into the series and all peasants live wealthy and are fat.. all the same... equally

why can't they just make your average quite muscally-slash-handsome-hardworking-protector-of-his-wife-and-children type peasant.
i mean the rest of imperial army looks so dashing and organised and they just have to mess it up with fat and dumb peasants. at least make they militia look more soldier like, i mean guy reprsenting the militias don't have to be the same guy representing the peasants

in 1 he looks quite like a peasant,but there's something wrong with that beard.In two he's O.K. In 3,hmm,that's a girl peasant,right? In 4 he has a handsome face,but a fat body,in 5 he looks like Little John,really,i think that the pesant from 5 could becoe the definition of MALE!

poor peasants, they always look either dumb or fat or both. if real peasants were like this, or technology wouldn't be as advanced as it is today, cos all the scientists will starve to death - either the dumb peasants can't produce enough food for every one, or they eat all of it and leave nothing for other people

But look at Heroes... Human population of heroes are already stuck in medieval ages for like 5 parts... So they have to be dumb for them not to advance in technology, or Humans will get soon gunpowder, canons, guns and so on... And Fat... hmmm perhaps they just hide food from their lords in their stomaches...

I have to agree. Realistically, a fat peasant seems too prosperous for the role. My vote goes to the H3 soul, in terms of ragged appearance. The H2 Peasant will always be my favorite because of the death grunt; one of my favorite HoMM sound effects.

I love the peasants...if I'm plaing a necromancer 
Well, Heroes V version wins. It looks the best so far.
The Heroes I version is outdated.
The Heroes II version is too clean and cartoonish
The Heroes III version is as pale as death.
The Heroes IV version isn't good enough.
