well i'm pretty sure it's a little late to be offering to help, and it never hurts to ask if there's an update once every 2 months, it's not like some who don't even read through the forum and just ask things like "where can i download this?" but yah i think these discussions are dead because most of this projects big decisions have already been made, what i think would be best even if the project is not even finished would be testing. that's the only thing i could suggest.

darkloke how are you doing my friend? it has been a while since i've hit the wog scene, glad to see you are still working on this. i've got more downtime now with work so i'm starting to mess around 3ds max again, heh maybe i'll even post some creatures.

Poor creature design and very poor creature names. Little variety. Great looking town landscape. I'd be more excited about this if it were:
A) still being worked on
B) wasn't a blatant copy of 'Night Elves' and instead at least had a dark tan skin or were different looking in color at least.
C) More creature types besides mostly just nothing but elves. "Druid" instead of 'claws druid' or at least think of your own name for a druid instead of WoW's. And 'basilisk rider'??? Basilisks are already in Homm3 and they do NOT look like that nor would they split factions. Should be called Raptor Rider or something. Also hippogryphs would be nice.
Sorry if this is harsh criticism but if this actually were to come out, it should fit more into the Heroes world (more like the dark elves from HoMMV would be best) and not WoW's. Appreciate the effort. Everyone loves a new town. It just needs to be proper and improved.
If this project ever takes off again.

This is made by a bunch of WoW fans to implement the Night Elves faction into Heroes III. What does it matter that they use WoW graphics and WoW names? Nothing at all.

B)that's ur opinion...if u don't like this 'blatant of copy' do not use it or shut up!
C)I'm gonna discuss for the old-line up: even though basilisk are already in the HoMM world the Basilisks from Basilisk riders are from M&M games so it's kinda the same universe. If you don't like the names and you want to play with Grove u just learn ERM and change them the way u want ok? but anyway as i told u there will be totally new creature line-up.
If we wanted to make the dark elves from HoMMV we would defenetly call them Dark Elves not Night Elves. you can make your own dark elves if you want. This project will take some time but i'm sure it will be a high quality town. After all the team is made by Darkloke and Cris

If you're talking about "originality" you might as well call them "Shadow Elves" and give them pink skin or something. But, that would be downright retarded.
Using the more real Dark elves from salvatore or DnD or HEROES V is just what I would much prefer to see, rather than a complete copy of Blizzard's little rendition of them. The models themselves can stay the same, but at least change their ski ncolor and/or keep their name as Dark Elves instead of night elves. Maybe make a poll about it and see what results.
Anyway, I've definitely wanted to have a Dark Elf town in HoMM3 ever since it came out and was excited when HommV had them. The town layout looks awesome. I just think some of the creatures need tweaking to better fit into HoMM3.
Is this project really still being worked on? Or is it at a slow, near-dead pace like Bastion seems to be? It's disappointing when a 'new town' comes out that's being worked on and then just dropped. But as I understand it, HotA scripts it to where you can add towns without replacing any, and I hope maybe that will mean Grove can make it into that engine.

Odd that you'd prefer to have a double-rip-off by copying the Heroes V Dark Elves (ripped out of WH) than using a "single-rip-off" (Blizzard's Nightelves). I don't see how the former are more "real"... it's all pure fiction 
If you have a problem with the type of Dark Elves used here, you should be complaining that the team's not using the Dark Elves from Might and Magic VIII, which are far more legitimate to this series and original than either of the aforementioned alternatives.
