Heroes: Quest for the Dragonbone Staff

Since this is the library of enlightenment allow me to enlighten those who haven't been "blessed" with the great joy of playing a HOMM game for the PS2!

I remember being a huge heroes fan and going into a video rental and seeing this and being like "No way! A HOMM for PS2!" but when I played it my excitement waned considerably, in fact this was one of they few games I took back to the store early, I guess the Dragonbone Staff wasn't worth looking for.

Note: sorry about the small pictures, I'm terrible at html code but if you copy and paste the direct link the pictures should come up.

Yes indeed this one was a stinker, no offense to those who liked it (all 4 of you) It was full of bugs, and slowdown  but redeemed itself in unintentional humor.
Ahhh the memories!

What the Ghost didn't know was that this archer had been practicing the way of the Tiger claw!

one of my personal favorites

look at the shadow and then look at the arrow. Is the archer shooting himself?

I have millions more of these but you get the idea.

Oh lol, that was good...that was brilliant :-)

Seriously, read the review at Gamespot:
Heroes of Might and Magic: Quest for the Dragon Bone Staff Review
Should give you a pointer towards how bad this game is ;-)

That game is pure crap... I prefer the old school King's Bounty (which this game is based upon) over this.

Amen! I am sorry that you had to experience playing it as well. It took me awhile to get over the shock about just how bad it really was.
Let's hope that Ubisoft doesn't copy this as far as the 3d graphics are concerned.

That's a King's Bounty remake. Unfortunately, it is a very poor remake of one of the best games ever created.http://www.zone.ee/kingsbounty/Reload the page after it loads to get to the actual King's Bouty site. (The first time you load it you'll only see a smiling housewife.) Download this game and play it. If you prefer strategy and RPG elements of the game over the fancy graphics - you'll enjoy every minute of it. This game is a DOS game, so you need to download DosBox application to play it.
