Smash Brothers Melee
I have to say that I am a fanatic about this game. I love this game. It is my favorite console multiplayer game ever. It's so much fun. You can play this game seriously or you can turn on items and screw around to have fun.
The potential in gameplay for Smash Brothers is way beyond that of any other fighting game because there are no exact combos that will always work. You instead have a wide variety of moves that you need to string together randomly. But this is merely the skill required to combo characters effectively. This doesn't even get into so many other aspects of the game like shielding, grabbing, move prioriety, disjointed hitboxes, teching, and dodging.

yeah I am fond of this game as well.
I love that Hammer that knocks the opponent flying.

I love Marth. .........................................................................Maybe someone can make a creature on Heroes 3 based (or is) marth!

God, I've havnt been on in a while. I can tell this by the fact that when I looked at my profile, it said I was 13. I'm almost 15 now. God, time flys by, don't you agree?

Marth is a great character. His combos are amazing. I saw one video where Marth grabbed Falco at 0%, chain grabbed him to 40 percent, then did an up-tilt, short-hop forward air, forward smash on the tip, dead.

I forget which Fire Emblem character it is but the one with red hair (I think it is Roy) well I like him because if you pull off his charging sword attack at full power I think it is an automatic KO no matter what.

I like Marth, because he has a bigger sword and he's quicker. Plus he has a ridiculously good grab.

What console u need to play that game? In my country we got only PS2 cause of our market value is too low to market Xbox and game cube  . The best fighting game i have is Tekken 5 and its boring me to death already...

It's still pretty fun multiplayer IMO

I love this game very much, but there is ONE thing about Melee that I don't like.
The Crazy Speed of it - The game runs so fast that you can't plan your moves, you just have to push the buttons like a maniac and hope that you pull the trigger that makes the enemy character fly.
The AI is also very irritating. I HATE Cruel Melee.. I always get so pissed off... my record in cruel melee is 6 KOs.. I'm pretty proud of it.
But it's an absolutely fantastic game (just had to say something negative too, since all other posts were so positive..)

I disagree, I think the speed of the game is what gives it what makes it so great. Smash Brothers Melee has the biggest learning curve out of perhaps any video game ever.
