black dragon
those walking trees
war unicorn
phoenix
titans
master genies
those 3 headed dogs
wyverns
thunderbirds
fairy dragons
rust dragons
death knight

Arch Magi
Well, even though I made that severly flawed poll, I have to say what my favourite creature is. The Arch Mage! Wizards are my favourite class, and Arch Magi look like the wizrad hero. Also, the lowered cost of spells is useful anywhere (Exept on Cursed Ground), esspecially against Pegasi. If you're fighting Pegusi, their magic damper has no effect because of the Arch Magi's ability (You only cast spells at normal cost, but hey, you can't win'im all). I never knew they had no penalty for shooting over castle walls until I saw their description on www.HeroesofMightandMagic.com because it doesn't say so in the game.

In Age of Wonders there were Wyvern Riders (as well as Wyverns), Big Beetles with riders and Dwarven Moles with riders... But I'm not sure that there has to be a rider since the creature already exists without him.

I really hate doing this, but this stuff belongs in the Tavern and not the Alter of Wishes!!
What does this have to do with Heroes 4?

I love Ancient Behemoth because his lowering the opponents defence is the best thing especially for the final combats.

Personally i like vampire lords, unfortunately, the necropolis army is not that powerful (Ghost dragon is the worst level 7 creature).
The Ancient Behemoth is also very cool because of the -80% to enemy defence, however its stats are only 19/19 !

Champion
The champion is my favorite creature in the game. Depending of the obstacle in the battlefield he can do twice of the damage.
My avatar is the cavalier because the champion was reserved.
