Highest of the High
Heroes III was my favorite so far definately, and I want
to know, whats the highest level of hero you can get?
I've made it to 24, no cheats involved, but I doubt
thats the highest. Input anyone?

The max I get (by cheating) is like 60 or 70? And then the game crashes....

You can get level 30 heroes from jails. And I think the highest I've ever had in a multiplayer game was 31-32. If you train level 30 hero from the jail, you can probably get 33-34.
If it is a single player game on a custom map, then you probably can get one of those 60 or 70 levels. It is quite likely that the experience is limited to either 2 or 4 billion (depending on whether they used integer or unsigned integer while programming), so that would limit your highest possible level.

You can test that very easy with the map editor.
Just place a hero and some boxes with 1.000.000 experience points around him. And then, make a long road with a tree of knowledge every step (maximum of 64 possible). Now be sure u have tons of money and gems and then save the map and play it in single player.
Then u will see what happens....

Well, I guess so, but I was just talking about like on a campaign, without cheats or custom made maps. I can see how you could get 60 - 70 with cheats yeah, but they never work for me anyway. Oh Well.

If there is a altar of sacrifice u can sacrifice all your useless arts u may have collected. As far as i know u can take the experience to the campaign level. Im unsure of arts and creatures. So short time before finishing one level you may sacrifice all your arts and even creatures. With that you should easily get a hero over 30+ levels soon.
But as ive said ...im not a campaign player...im unsure of what u can take to the next level...if there is only experience, sacrificing would be my advice.

It would be a good idea if the Campaigns didn't have an easily reachable level limit.

Then play custom made campaigns...not the ones from the game...

All good ideas. I've never personally used an alter of
sacrifice, but they sound effecient. I usually cant
afford to lose my artifacts, because I'm a magic player,
over a might.

Wow. Impressive. Is that on a normal scenario or a
custom made? And is tat heroes four? I dont recognize
the screen. I only played 1, 2, and 3.
I just today reached 67 L.,but that was on a custom and
very cheap map.

not is not heroes 4 is heroes 3... with WOG... you can still playing heroes 3 normal version... but some graphics change...

Although u can see some WOG features there, it isnīt WOG specified. I uninstalled WOG, so what u see here is just made with the mapeditor what i described above.

I don't think it's necessary to create a scenario to gain the 108th level of a hero...
In existing compaigns, I think one of WoG there's a scenario where there's a building (near the final castle to conquer in order to win) you can donate all your money and convert them in experience...
If you own all castles and mines you earn about 30000- 50000 golds (if I remember correct): few months and you'll gain it... (not the 108th!!! I gained the 54th...)
Angelito is good to say knownledge trees are required... for higher levels...

As a matter of fact, the highest level i had ever achieved was when i was doing a game of islands and caves (stupid map, btw, cheaters galore). When the game was over, i took the victory at lvl 84.
