We don't know anything about the registration process for the open beta yet, but will announce it as soon as it becomes known.

Are you sure about that? There are leaks even with closed beta... 
I guess open beta is supposed to have fewer bugs and be mostly about balance issues... It is not a demo, mind you.

well ubi realeased some months ago the closed beta, the inscription was in the official heroes V forum... and in that place recently one of the heroes V team members announced that the open beta will be on january 19, LOL tomorrow... you can check out the offical forum for more details about it... they are not said more than that...

Yeah, some Russians claim the beta won't start today, but later this month... On the other hand, there were the news at Ubi's US page and the official announcement in their forums... There's still hope, I guess.

I think we'll have to wait for what Fabrice says. It was unusual in the first place that it wasn't him who announced the open beta date. It is now 19th in most places of the world, and it looks like the start of the open beta will be dellayed.
I'd also like to remind everyone that if you are in the beta, the Non Disclosure Agreement makes it illegal for you to disclose anything at all about the beta. Same rules apply to HC - even if you are not in the beta and somehow get hold of leaked information, it is prohibited to use HC to distribute such information. Besides, everyone who wishes will get to play the open beta soon.

Same applies even of writing about leaked/stolen version under NDA.
