Of course, Lizard Warriors drop sharply on the list if you're not using Shadow of Death.(That was the only place they got the statboost, right?)

Donīt know coz only using SoD.
But dont be sad Swamplord, at least I care of swamps and dont play wog. That makes lizard warriors still the best level II creatures. imho

Nice post Acu. To bad you didnt read a bit more of the thread. That way you could have avoided embarrassig yourself. 
@LordAzamath: Sorry, but I dont trust your results. I dont believe the way you play the battles give the right results.

AND again thanks to the statboost I had them 9+9=18 not 16 for growth of 8 per 2 weeks

Using quick combat makes these tests completely worthless imo. If you made the battles yourself the results wouldnt be worth much gamewise but at least they would have some entertaining value.

If computer plays against computer then it's impossible to apply some clever battling strategy (not that I know any ). So the results should be somewhat adequate. But the second thought wasn't so wrong at all. It took time and only thing I got from that testing, was knowing that you don't think I did them right. But as long as I have faith in the results, at least I can use them in my games.

edit: and anyway, the winner usually depends not on the creature but the one, who sits by computer and plays the game

Why do you think even an average player wins every game on 200% vs a computer player? Because the comp plays dumb as hell. So if u try to get serious results, you shouldn't let 2 dumb players play vs each other, right?

I would say that Marksmen would be one of the best second level creatures, and then perhaps Wolf Raiders or Battle Dwarves

This is exactly the point. You should play BOTH parts in such a battle. But u should try to do your best with each unit.
For example: Of course u should NOT move forward with your wolves on your turn when fighting the lizzards. That way the lizzards will have a shot with FULL damage instead of range penalty. You have to wait with them, let the lizzards shoot and then move 2 times in a row. Similar to the fight with the hags vs the marksmen. A computer player wouldn't do it the way maretti described it, but this will be the best way to kill the hags.
Hope u get my point.

got the point.
in my tests, computer used only the main things - dmg, attack, def, health and few extras (harpy no retal and wolves' twice attack etc.), but didn't use smaller things like speed and wait, when fighting.

why didn't I put storms in?
1. I think they would win
2. I made that table on paper first, but the paper was too small and I didn't manage to put them all into one sheet. And I was too lazy to make a new paper.
3. I'm not going to add them to the table coz I have understood that the results don't count as much if

In my opinion, Lizard Warriors have never performed well in combat. They offer miserable damage, and it sure as hell is tougher fighting a smaller group of Storm Elementals or Marksmen.
Not forgetting Harpy Hags for being downright irritating. No retaliation makes them as good as a flier, except that it always does full damage.
