The PQ is a provincial party. You probably meant the Bloc Québécois. The Green Party is also missing from your list. They will get my vote.

ya, I did mean Bloc Quebecois. I only put in 5 options because it didn't allow me more.

Doesn't Really Matter

Whomever is elected won't change much in the way of status quo. Canadians will continue to be the U.S.'s most influential and significant trade partner and neighbor. I would even characterize the relationship between our two countries as symbiotic. I foresee small unimportant issues being thrown to and fro from the results of the election. The two that top my list are abortion and gay marriage; perhaps even euthanasia.

The best part about the Canadian elections is that we actually have a CHOICE unlike the Americans who can only select from 2 candidates (ever watched a Simpsons episode about that?) and even if the party you've voted for loses, it will still have its voice in the parliament.

Yep, a minority government. They won, but they won't be able to do much without support from the other parties.

I like this result. It was time for a change, the
Liberals had been around to long, but Harper doesn't
get a clear mandate to do what ever he is really thinking.
He ran a stealth campaign, not really pushing his true
agenda.

This is a bad change for Canada (unless you like a socially conservative government).  The economy is in such great shape, all they have to do is govern without scandal and have another vote in a year or so.   Then they will get a majority and thats when we will see the extreme social polices come out of hiding.

I remember speaking with Peacemaker a while back about me applying as a legislative clerk in Parliament. I talked to many about it.

Well, last week I finally got the call. I'm proud to say I start work as a procedural clerk in the House of Commons on April 24th.

I told them I was doing feild work for my uni degree and they told me they would wait for me to finish my practicum. I finish April 6th. One of the reasons why they decided to wait was because the conservatives took over the power, and alot of changes needed to be done.

Anyways, I wrote this only because PM told me to keep in touch about this job. I forgot which thread it was in and this one seemed to suit it best.
