A question about ToH
Just a quick question: Is it possible to play games for the ToH with the Shadow of Death expansion only? I had the original game, but a nephew got the CD (a lesson here: Don't borrow your games to kids) and it destroyed it. I want to take part in the upcoming season IV (even with Heroes III...) but I'd consider it a waste of money to buy again the same game (I have only the box now  ).
So I am thinking purchasing SoD instead - it is a stand alone game, AFAIK, so I don't need the original HOMM3 (I have uninstalled it... so AB is out of question).
I just want to know if I will be able to play in ToH with SoD and if so, do I have to play others who also have SoD?
Any respond would be welcomed. Thank you in advance.

SOD
Many play sod, and you can play with people with the original 1.4 version also

Actually I got a littul problem here. The local comp. game stores seem to have run out of SOD (not very popular in Greece, actually, so most of them didn't even order it). Actually, they have run out of the original HOMM3 too (that was quite popular, though. Seems like people here just don't like repackagging).
What I found was "Heroes Chronicles" in one of the stores, but the clerck wasn't very enlightening in weather it is the full game or just a fraction of it.
So, one more question to the community: What if someone has heroes chronicles, can he participate in ToH?

Far as I know it is just a single player campaign edition of heroes, dont think it will work for you, but some others prolly know better than I, I have never bought it.
