Why does everyone hate the kreegans?

Well, I have looked at many members opinions, and noone seems to like the Inferno.
Well i for my self dosent think its the best town, but its not the weakest either. They have some good buildings, like the Castle gate who is exelent in retreats and if you need to use your troops to defend a city who soon will be attacked. I also like ceberi who is good at attacking a lot of hexes at the same time, pitlords can ressurect demons who remain after battle, effret sultan is fast and has a fire shield.
My question is: Why does YOU hate inferno?

I think too many people hate the kreegans cause their imps die too fast in the beginning and the archdevils too fast in the endfight. Additional to this there are no crypts on random kreegans land.

People who know how to play the kreegans just love them, me included.

1.  Imps are like feathers, you blow on them and they fly away.
2.  Don't get me started on G's and MG's
4. Demons are blah
6.  Efreets are expensive.
7.  Devils are slower than Angels, they are always running to catch up.

All the heroes are mostly useless. (Zydar? phhhh...)

Castle gate and Cerberi almost make up for all this but not quite.

Magogs can actually be useful when you're harvesting demons. Don't diss them just because they are no good for end fights.

They are just as good in the end fights as any other level 2 shooter, maybe even better. Noone is forcing you to shoot stuff next to your own units. Very often the enemy will wait and you'll be able to shoot 3 units in the middle for 3x damage. If your enemy has the war machines, shooting them will hurt both of the adjacent units.
Cerberi are good in the end fights too, but they are nothing compared to a huge demon powerstack, so the first 3 unferno units are better off dead and resurrected as demons.

Btw, to all people who say how good Inferno is and how easily it can beat Castle and the other towns: only 2 of you have EVER accepted a challenge to play Inferno vs my Castle and both of those times it wasn't anywhere near close. The rest of you just spam the forums and chatrooms with "Inferno gooood! Inferno stroong! Inferno kicks ass! Demon hoarding owns! If you know how to play it, you can beat anyone, blah, blah, blah", yet whenever I challenge you to a game, you find a lame excuse to avoid it.

I did a ranking of the towns, and Inferno comes fourth (although the system does not take creature abilities, Necromancy etc into account).

Castle: 380255
Ramparts: 374993
Tower: 342712
Inferno: 334789
Dungeon: 331889
Stronghold: 326793
Conflux: 325697
Fortress: 321156
Necropolis: 292600

What do you all think of those rankings?

PS I hate Magogs, it's usually the last upgrade I do - probably because I like using archers, and I do not want to kill off my own troops in the process.

On what is this based? Hit points? And way is conflux so long down?
I should think this as a list of stregth:

1:Castle
2:Conflux
3ungeon
4:Fortress
5:Inferno
6:Necropolis
7:Tower
8:Stronghold
9:Rampart

I think it was said many many times before - any kind of mathematical rankings don't really mean anything. Some of those (such as the overall gold cost) can be helpful in understanding the big picture, but that's about it.

Playability is the only way to rank the towns. And it is subjective to almost every player. How well can you advance with a certain town? How well does your hero level up? What kind of fights can you do easily and which ones do you find difficult? How well do you do in the final fight? Are there any major issues and annoyances you notice when you are playing certain towns?

If anyone cares - here is my subjective rankings system from strongest to weakest:
1) Flux, Necro (overpowered)
2) Castle, Rampart, Stronghold (each has their own advantages depending on the map size and type)
3) Tower, Fortress (can compete with the above on some maps)
4) Dungeon (pretty weak)
5) Inferno (simply pathetic)

Magogs are excellent archers. Both when fighting the map and when fighting your enemy. When you are fighting the map, you sure as hell aren't supposed to have any of your creatures standing next to the stacks of 30 mighty cows I do 2x, 3x, sometimes even 4x damage when I am fighting the map with the magogs. They are the only way Inferno can beat really large wandering stacks.
Yes, you can *try* to do "wait, paff-paff, hit, paff-paff, wait" tactics with your arch devils, but their damage is PATHETIC. You'll make your opponent active 100 times and eventually you'll get killed by the morale. You *can* try killing stuff with the demon powerstack, but its speed is simply too slow to do it most of the time and, again, one morale will make you take losses.
I save magogs until the very last battle before hoarding them.

It is based on all stats of all creatures in that town, including growth and cost. Conflux is down there because, well, it IS down there in stats (unless - what is the maximum number of phoenixes that can be hired per week without the grail - I used 4 but it may be 7). Of course, I do not hope these rankings to be representative perfectly (if such a thing is possible), I was just trying to demonstrate that in terms of creature statistics, Inferno is really not that low down the list. It is difficult if not impossible to make a ranking system that takes more into account, although I say it myself!

By the way, why do you put Ramparts at the bottom? My list suggests that the creature stats are quite good. (Although in actual fact I also dislike Ramparts, because of two slow units, only one ranged unit, and Pegasi being too low on HP.)

I think Ramparts are very weak, because of one (but good)shooter, weak pegasi who always die, slow dwafs who often are halved when they come to the enemy lines, expensive centaurs, and the rest of the units are medicore. Plus thier patetic grail, only the castle has a worser grail.

Wy I puted Castle over Conflux? Depends on the map site, and the range to the enemy town, but when conflux is batteled in the early game, its often a problem (maby its just mee) because mys pixes/sprites is too few in numbers and die quickly, event if I has good ranged support, its hard because they are not so high in numbers and in small maps i somethimes dont have time to upgrade them, the fire/energy elemenals are painfully weak and the earth elementals (if any) are too slow.
But when I get Psycic elementals and al spell scholls, the problem are solwed,, and my armies RULE. I still think that Castle can beaat Conflux, because they are even more balanced, but what Castle have in creatures they dont have in magic. (only to level 4)

Please stay ontopic here...(topic = Kreegans)

If u wanna post your (almost ALL wrong) rankings of the towns, look up for threads about that topic...there do exist many already.
And please....try to get some more experience about the game before u start to make rankings.
If someone ranks Conflux as 7th and Necro as 9th, i´m pretty sure he bought the game 5 days ago. At least the growing rate of the level 7 units should be a known fact for everyone who wants to make statements about rankings...
Just try to get some games with good (or even average) players online, then u will see what your rankings mean.....nothing....

Please excuse me for staying momentarily off topic (sorry about that in the first place, it was me), but please do not discredit my ranking system, which took some time to do. As I stated it is based purely on all stats of all creatures, and does not take anything else into account. I have had the game for some years now. The rankings do not show how good I think towns are, it simply shows a mathematical analysis. I understand that it is not "accurate" but that was not the aim. The aim was to demonstrate that Inferno is not that weak on statistics, even though I am sure some people might say it is. Yes the comment afterwards was off topic and I am sorry for not realising that, but the rankings served a purpose for the thread, and ranking systems should not be discredited through personal bias or the belief that they do not show useful information.
