Is it a bug or?

This might seem a bug to me, I don't know if it's already known or not.

My WoG settings allow Eagle Eye to learn a spell for my hero each time he/she levels up. However, when playing Castle, I noticed that when I picked the hero with Eagle Eye (Forgot her name, she's a cleric). Nothing special so far.

I got into a battle against another castle pretty soon, and casted Haste (mass due to quick air magic). I then noticed that...my Halberdiers could fly!

I tried on several other maps, but everytime, the Halberdiers could fly when having eagle eye as speciality. Is this a known bug or am I missing something?

BTW, I'm playing without stack experience since the AI cheats a bit too much with those to my tastes.

It's not a bug. This is an caused by the Hero Specialty Boost script option.

You could always choose a lower rate of stack experience gain for the AI, or even choose a custom rate.

Even with low, I encountered:

I chase down an enemy. He nags a dwelling (Nightmares) before I get to him, and he buys all creatures there (Somewhere in the 20, accumulated creatures). I face him...his Nightmares have 3 of them ^ thingies. While he didnt even battle.

Anyway, thanks, I didn't notice that. Thanks.

Just curious.

If wondering creature experience is linked to hero experience. Does that mean the same stack could have different experience if attacked by two different heroes?

Yes, it could be reduced a little bit for a lower level hero.
