Uhm... Well, Saruman, I think you have missed something - the Pegasus is already in HoMM3. About the others - I don't think that any of those ants can appear in a Heroes game. The Sphinx can appear, but only one of the four.

I also wanted a Chimera to be in HOMM4. I think it should be a level 6 or 7 though.

Don't like the suggested creatures, they seem too much like mixes of some existing with some animals. How about a creature with the head of giraffe, the body of dragon and the legs of a duck? Got it?

lol i totally agree theres nothing worse than someone just mixing up some creatures and giving it a new name, by they way whats this new creature you have made a Giraguck i have heard that these are one of the most fearless creatures and are known for quickly getting angry.

To Hydra: There will only be 4 (That's right FOUR) creature levels as far as I know.
I don't think mixing up creatures to make a new one and giving it a new name is bad, you can actually make some powerful creatures that way (How about a 5 headed black dragon with one immortal head just like a winged black hydra that breathes fire out of each of its heads?). NOTE: Most of those combination creatures avove AREN'T magical creations. Most are real mythical creatures.

hello (first post).
well, we definitely need a sea dragon and a kraken. a dragon turtle would also be very nice (especially the graphics part of the dragon turtle might suit the game very well imho).
however, i cannot imagine what a kraken could look like in the fighting screen, when a kraken attacks, his body stays in the water, right?
some sphinx instead of a border guard would also be nice imho, so that you would get the answer to the sphinx's question when you visit the tent (well, the tent could be replaced by something more suitable for getting that kind of answers). i am not very well versed in sphinx-lore, but the border guard looks like just another tower that you could conquer easily, the sphinx is a more magical creature and the fighting thing might not look so obvious.
hmm.. i like the roleplay and the graphics part of the game most and i have an evil and arrogant plan to start a new thread concentrating on some minor criticism on that subject (as constructive as i can get).

Some good ideas. Creatures that are morphed variants are Ok with me as long as no more than two creatures are used to make it. Several of the creatures are just evil versions of already existing good ones. Normally, i'd prefer more distinct monsters.
There are two many creatures creatures involved for the Formians and the Sphinx. Better to make standalone and different creatures.
Succumbus: It should have an ability (which may be implemented as a spell) to have X% chance to Hypnotize an enemy stack for 1-3 rounds. The chance of succes may vary depending on the creature. The power only works on living creatures.
Kraken: Make this an under-water monster normally invisble on the adventure map. If a Boat passes above it, it will attack and try to sink the Boat. It should have a large amount of hit-points, and if combat lasts longer than say three rounds the boat will be wrecked.

To revive!
In the time I first saw this I didn't even know what a Displacer beast was! D&D really rules! And all that creatures should be taken into the game straight away!
And people.. It aint strange to take more D&D monsters! 3DO already took many D&D monsters!
Halflings(The D&D versions of tolkien)
Gorgon
Pit Lord
The orc of homm4 is in real called Orog
Nightmare
Naga
Troglodyte
Beholder
Manticore(With Wings)
Black Dragon/Titan hate
Gnoll
Hydra(How it's build)
Efreet/Genie
Worg/Wolf Raider
Orc(from homm3)
Ogre
Roc
You see. So why not take more D&D? Some of them really rock! Most of all that banshee and ettin
