I disagree Xarfax. His posts have never made you look bad in my book. What made you look bad to me was deleting your posts. I don't go on what people say about someone.
If you respond in a way that's with a bit more tact, you will look like the good guy. You can be just as straightforward and blunt and still be diplomatic. It helps sometimes when you are dealing with people who aren't used to that "**** you" "No **** you" attitude.
And you don't have to sound like a douche either. I'm not saying you have to talk like this...
"Okay that was a very upsetting remark young man. I don't like those foul words you were spewing from your mouth."

Whatever happened in the Library in the Manual thread.
One thang I know about Xarfax that he would not go to that level he went to if he was not pushed or provoked in some way to make him deal with this kind of actions.
Theres always two sides to a story & I dont think everyone was right or wrong in the Manual situation.
People pitched in on the Manual thread & Somethang happened that caused Xarfax to say F this & thats the war.
Then the who owns the thread by Bibanik because he respects Xarfax even tho he was part of the manual thread.
Whatever happened will stay unpolitical because Xarfax can be unreasonable & unfair also.
All I know is Xarfax had to be provoked to make his actions.

Why should i pretend to be someone im not for the sake of someone seing me as the good buy??
this is what these newbies do.They pretend to have a scared and fragile attitude, when in fact all they want is to be seen as the victim.

I have no comment towards Xar's behaviour to delete all his posts.I undesrand his reasoning in some way but i only regret that there still are people who could have learned alot from those materials( im the first on that list).
Here is an exemple about how things happen around here:
this is fictional but i kept the real names:
A 13 year old guy comes home from school and jumps straight to his comp cos he heard some of his school mates talkin about this really cool game about to be released called HEROES 5.
Wait a minute, he knows heroes, it's the game with the lil horse running around. Ohh he seen his bigger brother casting armaggedon 
how cool.
Googeling he comes to this site and starts scrolling around.
His eyes stop about a complicated title:
Library of Enligh.... Eghnilt....whatever it's a library damned.
Hmmm what do these morons have here....

I didn't read up on the Xarfax issue very much, so this may or may not be applicable here. When a newbie gets corrected for making a bad post, some members appear condescending and sound very discouraging. Rather than just telling the newbie that he/she should rethink the post, these folks go off on a tangent about "how many times do we have to tell these noobs that their strats just don't work!" The appearance of yet another bad newbie post probably makes them irritated, so it certainly comes out in their language. They are trying to point the new person in the right direction, but they do so whilst getting in their own shots. If these members cannot realize the negative manner in which they address the newbie, then they surely won't understand the harmful aspect I'm talking about.
That was just to clarify. And it's worth noting that this doesn't happen every time, so it's not like members are always bashing new people. In my experience, I've seen both good and bad communication.

I am reffering to a more general situation, to how things usually are solved around here.
new fellow register to this forum now with the upcoming release of Heroes 5 and the policy is to encourage this.Nothing wrong so far. But this is the reason, i think, that nowdays as oposed to earlier times, newcomers are so very much protected and sometimes undeserved.
I was tossed and flamed at my time, i felt so bad i even opened a thread to complain about it .
My exemple is indead exagerated, but nevertheless true.One guy comes here, makes some stupid posts in the strategy part of the forum(remember he comes here for heroes 5, but suddently remembers he used to play h3 also) and gets flamed cos people that put some effort into that thread don't want to see it's value lowering.
That guy retaliates (ofcourse withing the limits of the CoC), the vet gets pissed and speaks his mind about the whole matter, saying what he thinks NOT ABOUT THE PERSON, BUT ABOUT HIS GAMING SKILLS, which come to think of it isn't an insult in most cases, but a state of fact!
Some people just don't know how to play the game.It's as simple as this.It is a fact that they need to acknoledge.If they have a little ambition they can quickly learn something, instead of getting all belligerant like someone has something personal with them.
It is the same with every newbie that comes in the library posting some "revolutionary" after his standards advices.
From my point of view, the approach that you mods have concearning this is wrong.U simply penalise the offender, without any suggestion to the newb himself.So he ends up thinking he was right meaning he learns nothing!
Keeps on going his silly way!
I think a mod should try to explain also(in a civil way though without the "u suck" scenario) so that the guy gets the chance to read other threads, get informed and then come with a pertinent opinion.
Instead, the offender should be deleted the post and contacted by HCM, explained that that newbie is in good hands and he will be lead to read the good threads in wich he will find all the information he lacks now, so there is no need to get all heated up.Luckily, this way the newbie will get to reading and hopefully learn something new and the vet will go on his way. No harm done.
This is a discussion board and everybody has the right to speak his mind, but some people DELIBERATELY spam in the library, for unknown reason.William and Evil Warrior to name 2 of them.
I think the firsts who should practice democracy are you, the mods.
If one gets a new account TODAY and his post is a complete crap posted in a 100% strategy thread in the library, which attracts a guy comming saying him he doesn't belong to that thread, but really in the wellcomes forum, you threathen the older guy.
Which triggers a chain of events that eventually only one person has to suffer : the elder member!
In fact his advice is well intentioned, but the manner in which it is said may sound a bit rough.
Instead of acknoledging the intention, you chose to protect all sorts of newbs, no matter of their quality.

Im new here, so i really do not know much about the incident with Xarfar. However, we member/mods/admin belongs here to HC. No one wants to see any members getting angry or sad for any reason. Treat every people like wat u want that person to treat you. 
Often when some1 makes negative comment abt something, i feel that we should more or less listen and think b4 writing. Eg. Its like if we dun like the word stupid, we should more or less aviod using it, unless you seems to be j/k around. [To make it sounds like joking, put smilies behind the sentence, people will know you are joking]
So in conclusion, i hope to see a more united HC and less goodbye threads. I have seen too many threads where members starts to flam each other and results in a full scale conflict. I like talking to Europeans and Americans because they are somewat more polite than Asians. Really hope HC can give me that kind of close feelings . Treat everyone nicely, even the person you dislike. And please stop calling people spammers cause some people i know such as William really nv intend to spam[i know him first when i came to HC]. You all are giving him a hard time here. He even made a thread abt whether you all like him here?
Srry for writing so long but this is how i feel, hope you all can spent some time reading my comment
