Is there anyway to destroy a town or get rid of it. If yes how.

Dragon's quantity increases each week. You can fight them sooner if you kill dragons guarding cartographer in the bottom right corner. Here, buy the map and sail to "middle" island(where druid elders guard the subterrain entrance), go underground, go left, exit underground and fight the dragons.

I just completed the Inferno campign, and I have a little hint or two for the last mission.

One word, scouting. Since you are not able to "see" from your boat you must see through Magi eyes or observatories (or whatever thoose tall trees with a hut on are called..), or while walking on land. If you have scouting you can see further, and that made me able to take a shortcut or two and save me from some fighting with some dragons..

The other hint is to save before EVERY battle! You dont want to loose many men before the last fight..

And oh, pick gold instead of exp! As you are most likely to be like lvl 24 or something the exp wont help much. But the gold will!

Have phun!

EDIT: And yeah, in the underground, in the southeast corner, there are loads of ceberi there that will join you. They joined me atleast, and I did not have and diplomatic skills at all.

And for the emerald drags that keep the bridge.. well.. Try to hide all your units behid the ones you gate, and split up the stacks! (Drag and use shift in hero interface, or in tactical face) so you get 2 stacks of ciberi and 2 stacks of nightmares. The dragons hit my nightmares first, and would have killed everyone if I had not split the stack. So gate every unit you can, and keep the stacks split! And with your hero, use slow if you have it, I found that to be the most usefull since he didn't do any real damage with any spell (only like 1 dead, and slow is alot better then 1 dead!).

Hope it helps!

Having Ultimate Gating helps a ton in the last mission. You can effectively shield your army from just about any attack. The only unlucky losses that you'd suffer then are from an early enemy attack, before you can gate in reinforcements.

And in that final mission, *all* Infernal troops on the map will join you. They're set up in that way.

Yeah, all exept the ones that are spawned from "week of the hound" or whatever. Man.. Instant travle would help loads on mission nr 5 : P

With that you could to the mission with 1 imp ; )

I didn't get ultimate gating, so I sufferd some losses from enemies with high init and high speed, and of cource those darn druids and hunters if I didn't divide the cerebi into enough stacks or placed them wrong.. : (

But with ultimate gating (that makes it instant, or?) you could just block them with the gated ones (or?).

I loved that last battle, cause since I took a rather heavy shortcut due to scouting I prolly didn't get all the reinforcements that I could have gotten. I fought 60 drags, started with ~40 nightmares, ~280 cerebi, ~80 succubi, and .. 6 imps I think : P

Divided the nightmares, cerebi and imps (just to anoy the drags and waste their retaliation on nothing) into 2. Gated what I could, used slow. Survived with ~70 cerebi, ~20 nightmares, 3 imps and 0 succubi : )

But I hate to play with Inferno.. No flyers and only 1 terrible shooter (cause I dont dare to upgrade it since the chainshot always hit my troops). So I asume an experienced Infernoplayer would whop the drags with alot less losses. And I was lucky, I scared the drags 3 times I think with the nightmares : ) what a wonderfull ability ^^

Then welcome to the next campaigns! Still plenty of adventures to go, HoF & TotE await!

Yes, Urgash's Call brings instant gating. Not just it's handy, but also the most viable ultimate to get in the game.

Chainshots only hit your troops if they aren't infernal. Better not to mix up the races if not necessary.

Do you have the latest patches installed? In older versions of the game, Gilraen would have a huge army if you waited too long on that mission. They corrected that in one of the latest patches.

P.S.if anyone could also give me some hints about that mission it would be realllllllllllly great.

Yeah, they say it's easier in 1.1 and 1.2 then in 1.0, 1.3 or 1.4.

When you start the game and look at the game menu (before loading any saves or starting a new game), there is a line on the screen which tells you the version of your game.

Yeah, it's a game, that i no longer play but I'd like to see how many bites via link can I score thatwise - having the link in my signiture. It's an in-browser MMORPG. There is no problem but you better try not to forget things from now on and if you do not double-post but edit your previus one - double posting brings you penalty. Also this conversation of ours shouldn't be on this topic and I guess both posts - your one that I quoted and this one will be deleted by moderators.

Then I suggest you download and install some patches . In version 1.0, that mission is indeed very hard, as Gilraen's army grows very large, very fast. They tuned it down in later versions, making it much more manageable.

They also made numerous other changes in the patches, including a lot of bug fixes and game balance changes.

Patches can be found on the official Ubisoft site.

If it still works like before, then all you need are the patches for 1.4, 1.4.1, 1.5 and 1.6. You don't need earlier patches.

Once you've patched your game, you will have to restart the map again. Good luck!
