Yes, it is, but it's initiative is highly decreased... so Lay Hands or Cleansing will come for sure before they'll act.

Well, it depends how haven player positions his marksmen. In order to lay hands to work, paladin must reach healed unit. Sometimes players forget to place them next to paladins and as a result they are unable to use lay hands(due to their large size). As for clensing, mostly the knight has his mana drained by imps

Well Inferno has that minor advantage that it needs less wood & ore than the most factions. Nevertheless getting mines early is crucial, so only skipping for a few days to lessen the casualties is acceptable. I take Sprites definately with Demons and spells, you are guaranteed to have Destructive. Build Mage Guild asap. Sprites have VERY low HP so they die fast. Don't use Familiars on the battlefield but have them with your hero so Sprites dont spread into too many stacks.

Master Gremlins are actually harder, but can be blocked unlike Sprites. They come in plenty, but all low level creatures die relatively fast to spells. Use many stacks of few familiars for gating to buy time while you use destructive spell(s) on them and/or hellfire.

Buy 2 heroes from tavern. The 2nd hero probably(6/7 chance) won't be a demonlord so he will provide you with necessary fodder. If the 2nd tavern hero is a demonlord(1/7 chance) then you can consider yourself lucky because it means having more inferno troops than you would normally have so losing some of them is not that bad.

The other thing, that may be worth doing, is taking dark early and leveling magic guild up to level 4 - blind or frenzy waits here, and at level 3 there is a 50% chance for confusion.

@Flayl: buying balista without war machines skill is a waste of gold.

In hard difficulty, for sprites, just use demons and stone spikes or eldritch arrow, for shooters, some imps must be sacrificed, then get war machine, tent and balista, and you will enjoy an almost deleb like creeping, war machine's chance of appearing to demon lord is 15%, and if you're lucky, by lv 3, you will have balista and war machine.

Also, you must have advanced gating, then creeping is very easy, ignore elder druid and archmage.

Another option, just max gating quickly, adv gating is enough for early days, then war machine, balista and tent if you want to rush, ex: fighting master hunter asap, your adv war machines + balista + several atk skill of demon lord are enough to take them down asap, also you must increase demon lord atk skill for early days, 5-7 is probably the best for week 1-2.

For heroic difficulty, i always rush for war machines, balista, and adv gating, the rest depends on the size of the map.

Not always. If Blacksmith is prebuilt it may come in handy. You can minimise casualties by getting nautrals (melee/flyer) to attack the high HP Ballista.

Demon lords can't get that skill, only a ranger or a wizard.

Hi! I'm a dungeon player, but recently i switched to inferno. I'd really need some advice in creeping (especially without deleb) on the heroic difficulty. Thanks

Yes, i know. I get pretty well on hard difficulty. But... i need to flag all mines till late 2nd week - early 3rd week and reach level 12-13 at least. That's no problem on hard, but on heroic... i've got some problems in the first week, so... my development is delayed by a week.

Yes, unless you get warmachines early inferno can have a hard time especially on heroic's boosted neutrals.

The problem is, without deleb, i might get warmachines later (after 3-4 levels) and it's kinda late. It happened to me on several occasions. Plus, I need to get that 3-4 levels and usually i must fight something to get there . And it's a problem because most of the times wood and ore mines are guarded by sprites or master gremlins. So, there's no way i can creep with creatures only in the first week?

You need to figure out how to use lvl 1-2 units ;P
Grok is good coz his teleport decreases imps loses (you teleport demons next to shooters)
Use many 1 dude stacks to steal retaliations/block shooters, use gating units to tank dmg.
Use all heroes avaialbe in tavern to boost your creature power and avoid losing native troops.
Use magic very early on. For example hire some crappy nondempon hero get his troops and kill sprites with magic arrow or something not using your imps
Upgrade your imps before you use them.
All those things require some practise but aftert a while you should be good at it. (Im nopt too good myself coz i dont play inferno too often but i usually can handle when i get them)

Ok, let me tell you how i do it.
I'm mostly using Grok (for that teleport thing of course). The first thing i do is hire a second inferno hero (i dont have money do  hire a third one). I buy the mage guild and attack with the secondary whatever i can to decimate the neutrals using just one demon + spells, then i take grok and finish the job (that works for a mine). That's the first day. On the second, i buy the imp dwelling and try to attack the second mine with grok only, as the secondary hero is gone. Or skip one day and upgrade de imps and attack on the third day. Now... if i'm facing sprites or master gremlins it's tough because i lose more than acceptable and the next days i just have to skip because it takes a while to build town hall and demon dwelling to have extra creatures.
Believe me, i tried gating + teleport, but they're no good with sprites, they usually wasp swarm (2 times for each stack) my creatures and there's not much left. Almost the same goes with master gremlins, with slightly fewer losses.

What do you mean you dont have money?  When you play hard you have 20k at the start.(for a reason this is the most common difficulty!!! if you play higher than you shouldnt take inferno unless with deleb in my opinion coz there too many neutrals to fight down with those tiny inferno armies) So when you have 20k you can easily afford 3 heroes day one.

Second thing is that you should never sacrifice a secondary hero unless you want to check what monsters guard something that you want badly. Its not worth to sacrifice so much gold to kill something. So you should get that hero enough troops to kill neutrals you attack.

Again your starting castle structures determine a lot in firsty few days. If you start with castle lvl 1 , it sucks, but basically upgrading imps and having mage guild is a basic for your fist few days depending on whhat neutrals you need to fight.

I always kill sprites with magic coz they have so few hit points. Teleport does no good against them. You cant use imps against them. If you must, sacrifice demons, they are made for it. They are so weak that even dumb ballista without any skill can kill them. You just cant afford to lose imps. You can lose all your 3rd hero creatures to kill them but its worth to save imps. Remember thare arent many tough fights you need to have early one.

Mgremlins are pain in the @ss coz there are lots of them and even if you get to them with your units they arent any softer. I havent played for a while but if i remember correctly i did following. Get hero that could cast some dmgin spell or a grok for teleport. I had some stack with 1 guys to tank and i run with everything to them (just dont get in close range with your main stack of imps, must be upgraded, dont even consider attacking Mgremlins with unupgraded imps) Gremlins usually get 1 free  shot at your imps, you cant do much about it. But you cant allow then to shoot second time. you block all stacks with your 1s. You want to steal retaliation before your main stack attack. Place your main stack imps in a way that only 1 stack of gremlin can attack(the one uve attacked and killed most of them.  oh i forgot , gating. when your 1s run toward gremlins your main stacks gate. Gated demons tank , gated imps do some dmg. Basically you kill all gremlins with your main imps stack but you need to protect them at all cost with your 1s, demons, and gated stacks. After the fight you should have most of your imps and some demons left, no demons left doesnt not hurt too much either.

You know, some fights may be tough first days but you need to do only 1 or 2 fights to get what you want, ore pit and saw mill. If you see tough opponent anywhere else you just leave them until you are ready.

I was considering heroic difficulty. I have no problems on hard. I told you i can take out the m gremlins and sprites but with severe losses. And these two seem to always guard wood and ore. When i'm dealing with sprites i only use demons with Grok and magic, with m gremlins i have to use imps too. Basically i'm doing as you said, but... after i take wood + ore i'm left with to few forces to carry out other battles in the 1st week... and without warmachines + ballista.

If you consider heroic then consider changing faction coz inferno has hard times on heroic without deleb. For me its a plain suicide unless youre an expert with inferno , but then you dont need my advice

This game isnt balanced in all it aspects. Of course you can play more slowly and then you can take them out easily but some factions creep on heroic as good as on every other lvl thats why they are in favour on this difficulty(read you should be playing hard to avoid these situations)

Then i must ask you something else... Is good enough to get all mines + level 11-13 in the 4th week, or is it too slow?
With dungeon i used to achives these one week earlier.

Oh, and i cant play on hard because all my opponents prefer heroic difficulty.
