hmm
People (we) should be carfull not to be misled by the media. The celebrating Palestians were ofcourse just a handful of people (haven't seen more than a few dozen - mostly children) that may have been roleplaying.

Still hate them for doing so but it doesn't mean its the opinion of all Palestians. Even if thay believe that the US and Europe are like The Devil.

I've already heard some people in my neighbourhood saying that all arabs have to be nuked. This continously displaying of those elebarating pales. is almost a subtile form a propaganda. We should look/think a bit further.

Still we should discuss this mess....but have to stay focussed and not fall to hatred. Keep the posts clean guys/grils.

Hexa from The Netherlands (nope not a imigrated pales. if thats what you think after reading this post)

Well, I have been listening to the radio most of the day (of course every station has news on) and most of those that call in emphasize not overreacting or judging all because of a few.  I really hope justice is done but I hope this doesn't bring out the "haters", who feel justified because of this incident.  Actually this situation reminds me a lot of the movie "The Siege" with Bruce Willis.  Hope it doesn't come to that...

That's bad news. Hope they find a few more alive under the pile of rubble which used to be known as the world trade centre.

Just listening to Tony Blair's speech.  Compared it to Bush's.  Is it too late to rejoin the British Empire?

In all seriousness, though, it's really sobering to realize that, as an american, there are people out there who have never met me, never seen me, never been affected by me in any way shape or form but despite this, they want me dead.  And they'd dance around and celebrate if I was to die as the result of their actions.

Unbelievable...outrageous...deeply shocking.

My condolences to the US and all those affected by this tragedy, especially the kids who's mums and dads never came home.

I am deeply impressed by the bravery of those firefighters and police who went into the towers to help others (even after the first tower came down)...incredible courage.

I hope they find the SOB's who organized it.

They say they want Jihad, I think that's what they're going to get.

We don't have to worry about taking land.
We don't have to worry about alienating other nations.
We don't have to worry about internal political fights.

All we have to do is search and destroy.  And God have mercy on those who stand in the way.

Incubus...

Now I see why did you got banned, right choice Val.

I said those palestinians were those who were partying, and trust me, my hate towards them can't be described by words, learn to read Incubus...

WW3 could come out of this, but I am really afraid since if WW3 comes out, or even at least a war with the arab country's, Israel will get a pretty big chunk of this...

About someone who said that someone woke up the sleeping tiger, it would be much better if that tiger wouldn't go to sleep, before killing its prey.

The thing is..

That the arab nations might get aggrevated from too heavy retaliation, and they probably have nukes too. Thatīs what worries me.

What happened was a very sad thing, but I just want to explain what I said again.

Americans have an important rule: Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Therefore, right now, Bin Laden is innocent. It has not yet been proved in a court of law. It seems that it is him though.

On the news I heard an american say that itīs time to turn "that country" to a parking lot. That made me mad. This was done by maybe 300 ppl? And he wanted to kill millions of innocent, suppressed people in a ppor country because some mad people killed 10 000 of his countrymen?

That is not right. And I wanted to say something about it. It makes me sad that people dont value human life equally, but according to a principle of closeness.

I didnīt ram any buildings, I didnīt support it. I just wanted to say that itīs not right to decide that someone is guilty without proof, and that it scares me when big powers start fighting, since we live in the same world.

Also, Iīm for discussing in a rational way without personal attacks. Fight was has been said, not who said it.

The only problem is that if this was a terrorist attack and another nation is harboring the attackers is that this is considered an act of war (rightfully so).  And if it was possible to simply bring in those responsible for trial this would certainly be done.  But that is not likely.

And I'm not certain nukes are an issue if there was a world war as you say (I don't see it happening)...but chemical weapons might be.  Iraq didn't use any nuclear weapons...

Yesterday's events were horrible. I know people will be paying for this either offically or unoffically.

Terrorist declared war yesterday and I know the USA is going to go War against them. But I would like to see someone pay for this as Viper said, but by pay I mean finacially.

All on the news channels I have been watching say the 2 airlines have been fined and cited b4. They had a warning but yet they still screwed up. I think they haveta be responsible. It was their planes that took out those builings therefore they should haveta pay for the damages caused. I will be very happy to see these 2 corps go down for their carelessness.

Some of the stuff that makes thinks this is in 1996 a reporter(an amuetur) smuggled a gun on board at one of the airline's planes. This was a big news story but secuity obvilous hasnt improved since then.

Also in 1994 the Bin Laden Terrorist seized a French plane and planned to crash it into the Effiel Tower. But the French never let the plane off the ground. I dont know all the details but they said that they got the plane and passagers all back while killing all of the terrorists on board.
I never thought I would say this but it makes me want to live France rather than here.....for secuity reasons.....

if it wasn't for all the lives lost i could think of the whole thing as ironic...
