Can't be allies!
Hi, im fairly new to the whole Heroes game, i played alot a "few" years ago, but have been off it for quite a while now. But anyway...
I have a problem, when i and my gf are going to play HOMM 3 in multiplaymode tcp/ip and select a map, we can never become allies. I can't seem to find out how to change in 'advance options' (if it's even possible) to set us both as allies. How do u do it, is my question?
None of the maps we have that came HOMM v1.0 seems to support allies, or isnt it the map that sets if ur an ally or not?
Please help!

Yes in version 1.0 there are no team maps (only maps where you may play against a team of computers). The only way to set up teams is in the map editor.
In the lower rigth corner of the advanced options menu you can see which players are allied. To change which color you play click on your own banner and then click on another.

So if i update i should get maps what are offical and supported for allies?
Or is my only way to go in and change every map to allies?
I did try to update my game to 1.4 it didnt do it, and i tried downloading a few maps that where on the map site thats "recommended" on this site, but does maps didnt even show up in the list.

Hmm, I can't remember wether you need the expansions or not. Anyway most of the team maps are just copies of the standard maps with the extension (Allies) to their name. You could make them yourself.

Ok, then i have to learn how to get two players to become allies. I have opened the 'Crimson and Clover' map. But can'ät seem to find any options to set players to alliis, do you (or anyone else) know how/where?

I found it, under mapspecs and teams shouldnt be to fast asking stuff

Go to "Tools" then select "Map Soecifications" or just press Ctrl + Enter. There should be a menu called "Teams", click "Enable teams". An official allied version exists of Crimson. Red and Blue play vs Tan an Orange.
