Hey,

- I have a small problem. I have the game installed, all ok, but when I try to load a custom/campaign it stops at the very end of the load bar....grating me a message ; ...found a critical error.. and then it locks down. Does anyone have a sullution to this problem or know of a place I can get it fixed ?

In Necropolis Campaign mission 1, if you save/load the map, the Orange Wizard heroes (the patrolling fools to whom you will die instantly if you go near them) will sometimes freeze and not move again. This is fine, but when they're blocking the way, there is no way around them, except hitting Restart Mission...

Well, "summon creatures" can't fully explain it. First, with that spell he cannot put some units away to the castle, he can only recieve. That doesn't explain the disappears. Second, if you right-click him and attack, he actually doesn't have time to have his own turn. Had same problem in this level, when defended my own castle.

Very annoying bug when duelling in internet:
You see its your opponents turn, and he sees its yours. You can't continue and only solution is to restart the whole game

I'm sure someone has already mentioned this one though...

well he might have summoned the dragons but dismiss the treants first to make room.

if you right click and attack and some creatures are missing... thats a bug... (although there are skills that hide creatures from scouting)

Hello.

When playing Haven campain episode where you send your 2nd in command to bring back the King(I think it's the last one), if there are any randomly generated creatures(created by "Week of" whatever)sitting at the map where your guy has to exit, when you send him there you will get a pre-combat box. When the box should disappear, the game crashes back to desktop. I Re-loaded 3 or 4 times trying to get past this, and finally just sent Isabel in first to kill the monster stack. Then everything worked fine.

i am playing the dungeon campaign misson 3 there is a garrison on the underground north west corner.

when you right click you see peasant inside and when you attack they are not peasants they are BLACK knights.

the whole thing is realy wierd as there are supposedly no such creatures (there are death knights not black knights).
and the initiative bar shows peasants and not black knights!!!

very wierd!!!

another bug - at the dungeon castle the building description of the assassin's says scouts instead of assassins and the shadow dragons building says "deep dragons"

Garden of the Wee folk is supposed to produce either gold and gems, just seems to produce gold.

enter town with a hero, then come out of town with that hero, and seems to randomly put focus on any one of your heroes, sometimes same one, sometimes different. Feels clumsy.

blood maiden/fury controlled by AI seems to prefer sitting next to a human players single imp rather than attacking it, wierd. Seems to do the same with other single creature fodder.

hmmm....why am I learning spells i shouldnt:P

I have this level 23 knight with expert light...


I seem to be learning spells from Haven in other faculties of magic, i.e. destructive and summoning spells.

I though that since I only have expert Light, that I could ONLY learn Light spells.

Is this normal???

When I played on-line, on the beginning of the 2nd week, it said it had a reduce half cost on Artefacts.  Its Artifacts! LOL  So the spelling is so wrong.  

On the Dragon map, the one with Dragon Utopias, there are some places I can not enter cause there isn't enough space for my hero to go to, thats really dumb.  Ex: I see an Artifact in the corner of the hill protected by a creature, I kill the creature but I can't get the Artifact cause the dumb hill is blocking my heroes movement!  They should even out the spaces on stuff like in Heroes 3 map editor.

Yeah, thats right, I got a Windstrider Boots and it had no description, so its a useless artifact since it doesn't work.

yes this is normal if/becuase:
a) you can still learn all adventure spells
b) you can still learn all spells from level 1-2
c) if you got the magic insight skill you can learn all spells from level 1-3
d) if you pick it as a campaign bonus at the start it doesnt matter what spell level it is
e) you have a magic scorll on your left hand allowing you to cast that spell


and about the artifacts:
artifacts without descriptions are a bug but they still work!

more bugs:

i am playing the ranger/sylvan campaign first mission and i attacked a group of cavaleries guarding ressuraction scroll and chose to retreat the battle and the mission failure didnt show up! (even after some turns)
since one of the main objective was that findan must survive this is obviously a big bug.

also i attacked a group of earth elementals and my hero and my units where able to cast spells on them (they are magic immune!) - and no my hero is not a warlock.

another anoying thing, dont know if its a bug - the hunters damage help text should caclulate/show only the damage of the first arrow and not both of them (since they have doubleshot) just like the ballista and the minotaur guards, the way it is now is confusing.

Warlock's Plague Tent is broken

(this is a re-post - I originally started a new thread for it, because I wasn't sure it was a bug, but it was suggested that I report it here).

For the Warlock to get Plague Tent, which should allow his First Aid Tent to attack enemy stacks, he has to fill his 3 War Machines slots with the following abilities:

CATAPULT (Not First Aid) -> Tremors -> Plague T.

This is not only counter-intuitive, but nonsensical. The Warlock ends up not being able to control his tent, because he doesn't have the First Aid Tent ability.

During battles, the Plague Tent will NOT randomly attack enemy (like a Ballista), but will only heal own units, like a regular tent. In fact, sometimes I get a random weird message in the battle screen that suggests that it is trying to heal an enemy stack (because it can now target them in some sort of partial way). I haven't checked to see that it is actually healing enemies - that would really be adding insult to injury.

This probably does not apply to Necromancer, because Necromancer's Plague Tent progression is different and involves First Aid Tent ability.

First of all, it is possible to start combat without all of your units.  As mentioned earlier, it's very likely that he summoned the Emerald Dragons from a nearby town (you won't see this spell being cast though), and he just didn't put the Treants on the battle field.



Some bugs that I've noticed while playing hot seat with my friend is that only the very last human player gets to see the enemy's turn.  For example, my friend was first player (red) and I was second player (blue).  After I finish my turn (day ends), it'll show the visible parts of my map only.  So any enemy that moves into his map, he won't see.


Something else that's somewhat annoying is that my Marketplace keeps disappearing.  I was playing Sylvan, and I distinctively remember building a Marketplace in my backup town to lower my trade rates, but the next turn, the Marketplace was gone.  And then, I distinctively remember complaining about it and building it again, but then the next day, it disappeared once more.


Another problem we've encountered (I'll have to double check to make sure) is that if you're forced to walk around another hero who's blocking your path, you will still follow that path even if you move the hero blocking the way.  In HOMM3, if you move the person blocking your way, your move dots will stay the same, but your actual walking path will straighten itself to the shortest path, but in this game, you'll still follow the long path around unless you straighten it yourself (click elsewhere and then click back).


Another thing (mentioned above) is that the number of creatures in a stack on the battle field sometimes doesn't match up with the numbers on the turn bar.  Other times, the highlighted creature on the turn bar isn't the actual creature on the battle field.

i really am sad because after i istalled the game and directx9c[that i did not have] every time when i try to play a custom game or a campaign,it loads for a few seconds then the game crashes.I've been waiting for so long to get the game please help me....

Another thing I think the game messed up on (maybe not) is the schools of Magic for Sylvan and Academy.

Sylvan has Destructive and Light Magic.
Academy has Summon and Light Magic.

Sylvan has Destructive Magic?  I'd think Summon be more appropriate.  And for such a strong Magic-based town like Academy, how can it not have Destructive Magic?

Don't know if anyone has posted this one yet...

HOMM 5, v1.0: This just happened to me today and has only happened once. The week began and was a Week of the Rider (Spawns Dungeon Grim Elf Grim Riders and increase Grim Rider dwelling growth). I noticed something though, after seeing a pair of neutral Grim Rider stacks that had been spawned inside a forest. The area they had spawned in was unreachable and should have been unswawn-in-able as well.

Hopefully this will get fixed..

Also, maybe they can add a Hero Camp/Uncamp button while they're fixing things...

the wizard is strong in magic but he is more order oriented (heroes 4), he likes to tweak with staff (blue spells like Mtg) and not blow it away - thats the warlocks job

and the sylvan has destructive becuase of the imbue arrow ability they work realy fine together, as mentioned before- try an imbue arrow with metoer shower and use the rangers rain of arrow ability on an army of favorite enemies...
