New heroes for HOMMV

I don't know how you guys think about the heroes we have now, but in my opinion it's a bit under-standard as there isn't enough of them. Not counting campaign heroes (who share their personal portraits with other regular heroes!), there're only 8-10 of them for each race. So, I came up with 3 new heroes for each race (or more if I get new ideas), and here you go.

Haven

Latinus (Male)
Latinus was a priest leading a tranquil life in a remote village before the demons laid his village flat and slaughtered his beloved neighbors.  He strikes his demonic and undead enemies with his pure anger and hatred, much to avenge his village. When in combat, he can induce his fellow inquistors with similar feelings, making them even more fierce.
Specialty:
Wrath of Inquisitors
Specialized in monks. All monks and inquistors gain +2 to their attack for every 3 levels of the hero. When attacking demons and undead creatures, the hero and his monks/inquisitors can inflict additional holy damage, the amount of damage depends on hero's level.
Skill:
Basic Counterstrike
Basic Attack
Basic Light Magic
Remark: Latinus starts with "Righteous Might" in his spell book.

Noiros (Male)
Users of Dark Magic are rare in the Holy Griffin Empire, and what is rarer is experts of dark magic. Noiros is one of them. He came to the army as an ordinary knight, albeit a bit eccentric and unfriendly. But in his first battle, his soldiers were surprised to see their enemies coming to them already cursed by their leader. He was never promoted since then, until the War of Eclipse, when the army of the Empire is desperate to find talented Knights who can help them in the fight against devils. Many people envy his quick ascend to power, but remain silent due to fear to his grim magic power.
Spacialty:
Pariah
All Dark Magic spells cost the hero less initiative, but Haven creatures under hero's command have a -1 morale penalty.
Skill:
Basic Counterstrike
Basic Dark Magic
Master of Mind
Remark: Noiros starts with "Slow" in his spell book.

Slavo (Male)
Slavo is famous for his lightning-fast reflexes. This is particularly notable when he is under attack, as he could always retaliates even before his enemies touch him. While he is no longer fighting in the battlefield and becomes the man behind his fellows, he still makes good use of his special ability to aid his troops in battle, by protecting them as if they are peers instead of commander and subordinates.
Specialty:
Lightning striker
Heroes' retailiation strike ability is performed before the enemy attacks. Moreover, Counterstrike ability is more powerful, as it has a chance for all creatures under hero's command to retaliate before enemy attacks (muck like H4's first strike ability)
Skills:
Advanced Counterstrike
Retaliation Strike
(not sure about this as having a hero with only 1 initial skill is not very balanced.)

Regenia (Female)
Regenia is an expert to dissolve conflicts. When the generals have diverse opinions over the battlefield, she will quickly resolve it with her witty negotiation and compromising techniques. Her talent grants herself many benefits as she could end a war before it starts.
Specialty:
Specialises at Diplomacy. Neutral creatures have more chance to join hero's army, and at a lower cost. Surrender cost is lower as well.
Skills:
Basic counterstrike
Basic Leadership
Diplomacy

Necropolis

Nilhir
Little is known about Nilhir's life before becoming an undead, and even less is known about Nilhir now. The Necromancers can merely see him covering himself with dark cloak, exposing his pair of deadwood branches at the end of the sleeves. He fights with a distubing calmness, and his enemies often panic when they see the Wraiths commanded by Nilhir approaching then, with their wickedly freezing hands waiting to get them.
Specialty:
Hand of Death
Specialises at Wights. Harm Touch ability is more powerful, as they have a chance to kill more than 1 creatures depending on the hero's level and the number of Wraiths.
Skill:
Basic Necromancy
Advanced Dark Magic
Remark: Nilhir starts with Weakness, Slow, Decay and Vulnerability.

Sheslim
Sheslim was once a carefree elf in the Sylvan forest, and also a master of tattooing, similar to those could be seen on the face of Hunters or the body of War Dancers. But following the rebel of Dark Elves, she was terribly murdered, remaining great grievance in the dark and deserted forest. Her hatred growed endlessly, and finally joined the army of the dead for vengeance from the murderers. She can make magical tattoos on her undead troops and bind their spirits and corpses to herself.
Specialty:
Destiny Bond
Eternal Servitude is more powerful and can raise more fallen friendly undead creatures after combat. Moreover, it could raise more than one stack.
Skill:
Basic Necromancy
Basic Summoning Magic
Eternal Servitude

Zythus
Whether undead creatures are mindless is a question asked for many years. Zythus spent most of his time, if not all, to study this question. His zealous research cost him everything of his life, and also his life itself. Brought to the realm of death, he finally mastered the way to affect the virtually inexistent mind of his undead troops.
Specialty:
Unholy Frenzy
Undead troops under hero's command are now under the influence of positive morale. Moreover, the enemies attacked by undead creatures with positive morale have a chance to suffer a -2 morale.
Skill:
Basic Necromancy
Advanced Leadership

Uthanassia (Female)
Uthanassia commited suicide at a very young age, when she was a singer in the Falcon Empire, because of a deceiving man. Her sorrow corrupted the forest she resided, and her chant drew all the wildlife in the forest to kill themselves spontaneously. Her melancholic soul eventually tempted the necromancers' attention, and she was brought to the realm of dead along with her deadly singing.
Specialty:
Ballad of Gloom
Before the combat starts, a percentage of creatures will be killed instantly and transformed to experience. Number of creatures killed depends on hero's level. Does not affect mechanical, elemental and undead creatures.
Skill:
Basic Necromancy
Basic Sorcery
Arcane Training

Inferno

Xyron (Male)
Since his childhood in Hell, Xyron was drawn to the blazing fire and and magma that constantly bursts out. In his eyes, fire resembles a living being that has its own life cycle: blazing, dancing, consuming, and dying out. His special knowlegde of fire contributes a lot in the battlefield, when he is about to summon the flame from Sheogh to burn his enemies.
Specialty:
Infernal fire
Fireball spell has a larger area (much like the Inferno spell in HOMMIII) and deals more damage overall. (level 1-5 4*4, 6-15 5*5, >15 6*6)
Skills:
Basic Gating
Basic Destructive Magic
Master of Fire

Metmos (Male)
Metmos is far from being a mature leader in battlefields. When in battle, he is like wanting to extract as much fun as possible from seeing his enemies being tortured, unlike other demon lords who become very serious when facing their human or elven enemies. However, his immaturity did give him something - his imps and familiars can always share his interest and show him a good show when punching their opponents.
Specialty:
Mischief
Specializes in Imps. Imps and Familiar gain +1 in their attack and defence for every 2 levels of the hero.
Skills:
Basic Gating
Basic Leadership
Recruitment

Tilivios (Male)
Tilivios is an enormous demonic creatures, with an unordinary looking that could scare off even demons of his kinds. Detracted as "Monster in Flesh", his enemies would be very likely to run from battle once they lay their eyes on this horrifying being.
Specialty:
Aura of Panic
The hero gains a special combat ability (that needs to be activated). When using this ability, all his enemies have a chance to become "feared", causing them to run back to their base line of the battlefield and lose all their initiative accumulated, chance depending on the hero's level.
Skill:
Basic Gating
Basic Dark Magic
Master of Mind

Ash (Female)
Contrary to other Demon Lord, Ash has a special interest on submission and receiving pain. She laughs when whips strike on her body, and her enemies are often confused whether they should continue feeding upon her eccentric interest and let her grow in power or stop attack and let her have her turn, but this confusion often ends very fast because every blow they make, Ash lets her enemies know how (un)pleasant their strikes are.
Specialty:
Pain Reflection
All Inferno creatures under hero's command will reflect damage to the enemies when they are under attack in melee. Damage reflected is equal to the (damage dealt by enemy)*(hero's level)%. Does not reflect damage dealt by enemies' retaliation.
Skills:
Basic Gating
Basic Defence
Protection

Dungeon

Jasimnine (Female)
Jasimnine has a special interest in accumulating wealth, and she is an expert in this field herself. With limited budget, she can also call for a whole army with her agile mind and stunning charisma. Her ability remains unsurpassed among her Dark Elven colleagues.
Specialty:
Miss Miser
Hero receives a 10% discount when she is to recruit troops or upgrade it, and 1% more every 3 levels.
Skill:
Basic Irresistible Magic
Basic Leadership
Recruitment

Sephinroth (Female)
When exploiting into the field of Dark Magic, Sephinroth discovered a secret relationship between her Dark Magic spells and Destructive Magic, which had been overlooked by wizards in all these years. Dwelling deeper to this study, she mastered the way to manipulate the magic power on the cursed target and exploit it as a fuel to support the dark fire burning.
Specialty:
Dark Fire
Hero receives a special combat ability that allows her to consume Dark Magic curses on the enemy targets to deal fire damage. Fire damage dealt is related to hero's level and the circle of the spell.
Skill:
Basic Irresistible Magic
Basic Dark Magic
Basic Enlightenment

Rit (Male)
The underground world was not like what we see now, occupied by the shadowy Dark elves. Medusas once claimed their reign over the dungeons, with their hissling snake hair and grim sight that can turn flesh to stone. When Dark Elves came to claim this land, Medusas were eventually hunted down and became extinctdue to their resistance. Rit's ancestors were one of those Medusa hunters, and from his father's hand, Rit inherited an artifact - Medusa's head, which is still able to glare at Rit's enemies and petrify them.
Specialty:
Eye behind Snakes
Hero's attack has a chance to petrify the target, making them unable to move or attack but increase their defence. Last for 3 turns or until it receives any damage. Chance depends on hero's level, and it cannot work on undead, elemental, and mechanic creatures.
Skill:
Basic Irresistible Magic
Basic Sorcery
Magic Insight

Shakti (Female)
Shakti mastered the way to hide herself. When she was young in the temple, she often used her skill to hide herself to escape from those tedious training in which she ws forced to take part in. Practice makes perfect, she now could even hide the whole army from the not so shrewd eyes of her enemies as if magic.
Specialty:
Stealth
Hero can hide her army from the eyes of neutral creatures and enemy hero. Total hitpoint of her army must not exceed a limit which depends on hero's Spellpower. (much like Stealth skill in H4 which you can go beside ) Level of hero determines what creatures she could hide her army away from.
Level 1-3:   tier 1
Level 4-7:   tier 2
Level 8-10:  tier 3
Level 11-15: tier 4
Level 16-20: tier 5
Level 21-26: tier 6
Level >27:   tier 7
She could also hide away from enemy heroes whose level is lower than 2/3 of Shakti's level.
Skills:
Basic Irresistible Magic
Basic Logistics
Scouting

Academy

When he finally got into the battlefield with his outstanding ability to control his ammo cart, those once mocked at him were still in the college.
Specialty:

However this wave of flame secreted a special elixir of gold, and when she studied this once again, she managed to transmute minerals into one another.
Specialty:
Alchemist
Hero gives 1 sulphur, 1 mercury OR 750 gold to the kingdom every day, and 20 more gold every level.
Skills:
Basic Artificer
Basic Leadership
Estate

Majestique (Male)
Majestique, with his arrogant manner and proud airs, is not welcomed among mages in the Silver Cities. He likes to flaunt his wealth and magic power even without request. He gathered a massive amount of Gremlin slaves and always walk along the street with his horde of minions. However, when critical moment comes, the Wizards are often forced to turn to this talented mage.
Specialty:
Magic Suppress
Enemy hero and spellcasters have a chance to fail in casting their spells. Failed spells have no effect but cost hero's mana. Chance increases when hero gains extra level.
Skill:
Basic Artificer
Advanced Sorcery
Arcane Training
Remarks: The initial armt of this hero, when being recruited or upon the start of the game, only give out gremlins. 75% the chance does he give out 1 stack of gremlins, 25% 2 stacks and less than 1%, 3 stacks. This is to balance with his initial skills which have 4 skill points.

Fafner (Male)
Fafner was not born in this world, instead he was summoned from the plane where was the home of Djinns. This powerful Wizard serves the Silver Cities with a mysterious purpose, and hatred and wrath could always be sensed in his low-pitched voice. The vengeful Rakshasas shares the same rage with him, and is induced to strike harder to vent his anger.

Without having read all of them in detail, I'd say it's a great work, and I totally agree with you that more Heroes are needed. However, part of my dissapointment would be that there no longer exists a MIGHT and a MAGIC hero of every faction, but rather that each faction is now either MIGHT or MAGIC.

Maybe he already did.A Sandro fellow, teacher of Markal and Lucretia, lord of Heresh perished some decades before H5 when wizards invaded his
lands and drove away the necromancers.Seeing that Crag Hack is also mentioned as well as Erathia(in a town, not sure where) we can deduce that the world of H3 can't be too far away (Or they are just teasing us!)
Good job Feuerader! Some names certainly ring a bell!

Academy

Marvastes (male)
Marvestes comes from both Necro and Vivo descent. He has always found peace between the Necros and ordinary Wizards much more appealing then an all-out war. Seeing there is no orginized sect that shares his views, he decided to found his own small Guild of Balanced Magic. As grandmaster of the Guild, Marvastes now preaches the acceptance of Necromancy, though he also lectures against embracing it.
Specialty - Guildmaster
All Mages under this hero have Raise Dead added to their SpellBook. All Archmages under this hero also have Raise Dead, Vulnerability, and Decay added to their SpellBook.
Skills:
Basic Artificer
Basic Dark Magic
Basic Light Magic

Sheik Jahbar (male)
The sheik Jahbar is a whealthy noble from the city of Al-Eiman. He has specialized in the manipulation and preservation of aristocracy for his entire life. This practice ensures Jahbar with good diplomacy and a tight grasp over the entitled nobles of the Academy.

Skills
Basic Artificer
Basic Leadership
Diplomacy

Abysamo (male gremlin)
Abysamo was the youngest Gremlin to ever be ranked "Master Gremlin", and strangely, one of the oldest still holding the rank. This is not so strange, however, as his keen sense of mechanics kept away from battle fixing things and thus he survived. Abysamo made a name for himself and soon became the primary commander of Academy mechanized forces.
Specialty - Master Mechanic
Golems and War Machines self-regenerate. In addition, hero starts with two random war machines.
Skills
Basic Artificer
Advanced War Machines

Gallelia (female)
Gallelia was the daughter of a common smith at a small village on the far borders of the Holy Griffin Empire. As a young girl, she would help around her father's shop. Gallelia's village was attacked by Necromancers who needed troops to fight their enemies - both her parents were killed and re-raised by them. Vowing to take revenge, Gallelia moved to the lands of the Silver League and set-up doing what she could: smithing.
Specialty - Forge
Consume Artifact, Magic Mirror, and Mark of the Wizard are much stronger, and are no longer prequesites for anything.
Skills:
Advanced Artificer
Consume Artifact

Dungeon

Ryta (female)
Ryta is a good elf gone bad. When she was an adolecent girl, a Faceless appeared in her dream and revealed that he was her true father, and that her mother was a traitor. When confronted, her mother admitted that she was a Dark Elf. Ryta murdered her, and realizing what she had become - chose to accept her bloody heritance.

Over the years he became adept at destructive magic at it's worse, conjuring volcanoes and metero showers. He is considered the finest master of earth and fire in all of Ashan.
Specialty - Magician of Earth and Fire
Hero's earth-element and fire-element spells gain both earth-element and fire-element effect. Therefor, a units immune to fire spells would take all the damage from the earth-element in the spell. Hero also casts these spells at reduced mana costs.
Skills:
Basic Irresistable Magic
Basic Destructive Magic
Master of Fire

Good to see it. I see that you put in a lot of effort to churn out with new ideas.
Its really nice to add a "personal touch" factor for the heroes to add their uniqueness.

Below are some of my comments.

Slavo (Male)
Specialty:
Lightning striker
Heroes' retailiation strike ability is performed before the enemy attacks. Moreover, Counterstrike ability is more powerful, as it has a chance for all creatures under hero's command to retaliate before enemy attacks (muck like H4's first strike ability)

Good ability but it is very powerful if it”Ēs a confirmed first-strike for the first attack received. I suggest a percentage to be used.

Sheslim
Specialty:
Destiny Bond
Eternal Servitude is more powerful and can raise more fallen friendly undead creatures after combat. Moreover, it could raise more than one stack.

Description of hero does not match the speciality. I don”Ēt see the link between tattoo and binding/necromancy.
IMO, you need a thorough change in the description or you should create a new hero to suit this ability.

Zythus
Specialty:
Unholy Frenzy
Undead troops under hero's command are now under the influence of positive morale. Moreover, the enemies attacked by undead creatures with positive morale have a chance to suffer a -2 morale.

I find the ability tab mild.
What I think of is having no morale penalty and also affected by positive morale.
Lower occurrence of morale bonus compared to other factions.
A unit with morale bonus may bring about death strike (up to double damage); 5% chance of death strike.

Jasimnine (Female)
Specialty:
Miss Miser
Hero receives a discount when she is to recruit troops or upgrade it. The percentage discounted is twice the hero's level.

Using percentage you can either have an overpowered or useless hero.

Delahim (Female)
Specialty:
Alchemist
Hero gives 1 sulphur, mercury OR 1000 golds to the kingdom every day, and will increase when she has new levels.

Although the monetary cost of heroes V is higher, but additional 1000 gold a day is too much. Not to mention increment.

This is actually an ability based on chance as you can see "it has a chance for all creatures under hero's command to retaliate before enemy attacks" Perhaps I didn't make it clear enough.

This is actually inspired by Half-Dead campaign. In the storyline, Gauldoth made a secret tattoo on the body of a corpse he killed to bound the soul of the corpse to himself. So I thought that Sheslim can make enchanted tattoo on the corpse bodies and thus, they could rarely escape from her.

Im not very sure about Zythus either. What I thought was that if Necromancers can learn leadership but it takes no effect, that is somehow a little stupid. But making a hero with a specialty only to let his undead troops influenced by positive morale doesnt sound like a hero enough. Your idea is far better than mine.

Perhaps she would start off by 10% of discount and then slowly gain more discount while advancing levels (1% every 2-3 level).

I tried to balance her ability by adding a chance to increase other resources. If she gives 1000 gold every three day (by average), it means she gives 333.3 gold per day to the kingdom, even a bit lower than +350 gold specialty heroes in H3. The increment is just an encouragement for players to take her into comabt instead of to let her stay in garrison. But if it is unbalanced, could cut it to 750 gold.

Well I gotta admit I hardly plays the game and I did not know much about it.
Your heroes seems cool enough. Lets wait and see whether if they get flesh out.

This is not a remake of heroes from H1/2/3/4, so old heroes are not going to appear in my list above.

refined creature specialization for heroes

The thing is that there are a whole lot of heroes with specializing in a creatures. Choosing such a hero is not much fun for me most of the time but with a bit of change it can be spiced up. When a hero is specializing in a creature it gets special abilities like more spells or higher knowledge of school of magic or more manna points for casters. Special abilities more attack/defense rating more hps for the meele units. For example the hero specilalizing in griffins could give imperial griffins a special ability of knockout when battle diving at level 7-10. With this Igriffs could render chosen nme useless for some rounds(depending on hero level..). As for hunters imagine triple or more shots for hunters. In the castles you own you would get more of the chosen creature, but say 30% less from anything else(the price of specialization). Another issue is that Avanger ability should be nerfed on chosen creatures since it would be too strong this way. Further advancement is possible by even more specialization lets say choosing a second creature from your castle or starting with a double specialization and a 50-60% penalty on other creatures in your castle. This would make some real specialization and would make the heroes specializing in creatures way more fun.
