Obviously, Val thought a poll would be appropriate, which kind of answer the question... And actually, he's a guy...
As for william, as angelito said on your thread, we have here on AoH all the references, description, images, stats and more about creatures, so it would have been more effective to link to those, instead of gathering images from many other sites.

Regarding the actual question asked here, I voted Sylvan, but I really like all the factions in the game. They all have their distinct feel, their own strategies (the racial special really helps with that), and are all a pleasure to play with.

~No rants in this thread, cleaning the offtopic posts, as Sfi correctly explained we have all images on AoH, so no need to repost other sites' images~

I'm voting for Sylvan. It's fast, strong, and has Avenger, which I like more than the other Racial abilities.

I have voted for necro because they are my favourite since Homm3.Here the skell archer are onother good thing for this race that make them more powerfull.Anyway the necro shows the power of the numbers against the bigger heavy creature of the other races.
P.S. AoH is very good and it allow me to be familiar with Homm5 before even the demo. keep the good work guys

I voted for Academy.
Tower is my favourate in H3, because of my thirst for MAGIC - who don't love the "Dragon Slayer" campaign in H3?! - and naturally I prefer Academy in H5.
Dundgeon, indeed, is a strong match to Academy in magic, plus their town is damn beautful, but it shall take the 3rd place in my heart.
Sylvan is my 2nd favour, because of my love of nature. But I want MORE animals here!!!

I voted for Academy because their town is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

And because the Djinn have been my favourite unit since HoMM3.

Haven are a close second though, Paladins really are the MOST awesome.

 Sylvan only has 6 votes!

Yeah, I voted Sylvan.  I'm a big big big fan of shooting units.  So naturally, I love the (Master) Hunters.  ^_^  And they have Warding Arrows!

Before I actually played the game, I looked through all the creatures and skills of each faction.  Hands down, Dungeon has the best creatures, but sucky secondary skills.  Necropolis has the best skills, but sucky creatures.  Sylvan came in second in both, so I tried them out first, and I loved them.  The Sprites can cast (not very well though), hit 3 squares, and don't allow retaliation!  The War Dancers hit all adjacent squares, and the Druids are pretty good casters.  Unicorns are good to have around, but I don't use them too much, and I'm not a fan of the Treants.  But Dragons!  ^_^  Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of the Avenger skill though.

Back in HOMM3, Rampart used to be my second favorite alignment, so I might be slightly biased.

My favorite in HOMM3 was Tower (Academy now) because there were 3 creatures that were ranged, but the Academy faction kind of suck.  I mean, come on, Light and Summoning Magic??  Academy is so heavily spell-based.  How can it not have Destructive Magic?  Unless you're fortunate enough to get some Destructive Magic in your Mage Guild, the only spells worth casting is Fist of Wrath and Fireball.  And that is if you get lucky and they appear.  On top of that, you won't even get Fireball till you have a Level 4 Mage Guild plus Advanced Summoning Magic.  The limitations on the spells and the weak creatures almost renders your hero useless until the second or third week, after you get some spells and a decent number of middle level creatures in your army.

I didn't really like Inferno in Homm3, but they are pretty sweet now in Homm5. I really like their class skill gating, I mean who doesn't want to be able to increase their stack size 20-100%. The pit lords got a major graphic and ability redo. Their meteor and fireball is pretty fun. Not to mention the succubus' chain shot and ranged retal, the only down side of this is when you are vs. inferno, and chain shot doesnt work

Blood furies shine on battlefield and Grim raiders are unstopable Juggernoughts ! Our emproved spells and lucky spells are extremly cool as well as Irresistable magic . Long live to developers for creation this awesome faction

Wow, very low per cent on Haven...

I voted Haven, since they are the good guys and Human, thought arrogant.

Every strategy game I would play, I'm always the Humans.
Heroes 2/3: Castle; Humans
Starcraft: Terran; Humans

Sylan would be my 2nd choice since they are allied to the Humans.

Halberdiers were the strongest 1st LvL creatures in Heroes 3!
Now its peasants, thats very disappointing.  Though, having 400 peasants trained to 400 archers, very powerful.

Actually, the strongest level 1 creatures were the Centaurs (Captains).

And Peasants aren't bad...  They're taxpayers!    Yay, free money!

Haven

Why Haven, i just think about the Training Special. All Creatures can be updated with enough Money...In the Demo, in the Campaign Level, I've needed this Special! Only with this I could win soon. THe CReatures are very good, think of the Marksman as an Master-Sharpshooter and the Lvl 1 Marksman->Archer, which is as good as the Marksman I say, because of his Scatter-shot. The Paladins are good enough to heal 3 Complete Angels when you trained 22 Militeman to them. I think they're the very best...and think of the angels Speciality!

Haven!!!!

Necropolis
I doubt that you want to know why, but I'm going to tell you anyway. Everyone did
First of all, they look awesome. I've always been a fan of things which look cool. Although all faction animations are great, the necro ones are just phenomenal.
Second, they're weak. It is always more challenging to play with weak factions. It's almost boring to play with the strongest ones.
Third, the ability to make all units from other factions into theirs via the Shrine of the Netherworld.
The only crappy things about them is that there's no death knights in their creature lineup and it's too hard to play with them at the beginning of the game (the casualties are too vast when fighting mine-guardians with only skeletons and zombies). But that doesn't matter. Necropolis still rocks.

Haven has one of the best starting teams - archers ant footmen - perfect for dealing with wandering monsters up to lv.4 (even 5, in weeks 2-3), even without having them upgraded. In comparison, Inferno has to wait for succubus to engage something consistent, sylvan (my second favorite, in fact) has to upgrade the dancers etx. I definitely vote fot Haven - Long Live the Empire

Speaking of upgrades, it's another reason I like Sylvan so much.  Their level 1 upgrades, Sprites, can cast.    You make 7 stacks of just 2 or 3, and they can win just about any battle in the beginning (except against undead creatures), since you can have them cast from the back, and when they need to melee, they don't allow retaliation.
