Meeting place for TOH'ers?
Is there any other servers that support Heroes 5? Does Gamespy or Zone. The Ubi server is the most horrible place. Hard to find anyone, and still havent seen any TOH'ers in there.
If Gamespy supports it, maybe we could have TOH'ers meet there and not worry about Ubi ranked games until they get the bugs out.
Unless I am looking in the wrong place. I been setting in the Ranked room 1 as Vesuvius suggested.

I have only found 1 TOH user, and the f***** game stuck (sometimes) in combat (sync error), game have SOME bug yet, like auto-save option... how or where activate it? and server bugs are horrible, chats downs, disconnect, inside games disconnect, list friend down, etc... finally ubi.com server are s*ck a lot, i am agree with Jinxer if there are another place GameSpy, MPlayer, etc... would be great...

why u guys just not meet in gamespy h3 room, need to install h3 of course, but you can meet up with pold friends there that still play h3 and post room adds or h5 games via ip.

gamespy does support heroes 5
Not officially but with a little creativeness anything can be done , i've played homm5 on gamespy, the idea is to use the homm3 channel as a meeting place to find people and then only need a kind of "ip game" for that you got to use a program called hamachi that simulates a LAN (local area network) and then you can use using that option the mulitplayer menu.. , but again homm5 isn't playable till patch 1.2 (hopefully)

I'm having the same problem.been looking for a nice gentle game to get me started all week now( i suck royally at h5 at the moment),and havent found any ToH players on that stupid ubi.com at all

From what I here he plays the 1 week rush smaller maps only. Fewer bugs if games end during week 1. So might as well say all his games are pretty much duel games

For everyone who doesn't know which is likely most of you there is a way around the multiplayer bug. Basically you have to take your opponent out before the first week is up and you can fight which as Jinxer says is basically nothing but a duel. There are a few more or less "open" maps that it's possible to do this on, namely The Land of Outcasts. That's pretty much how a few people are getting games played. So maybe a few of you vets out there who like open maps can give them more of a challenge than the noobs being swallowed up so far.

Hopefully ubi/nival will do something about the MP aspects of the game before it dies. This is ridiculous.

Um, one those noobs was Valkyrica (albeit after a night in dico, but ceasar is ceasar anyways )
But generally - yeah, you guys are right - its all about rushing... After some planning its now day 5 rush... And I agree - its getting a bit lame, not much fun in those games, so guess, i will stop doing it when barons rank will be reached
However just a couple of points in order to save at least some last bits of my reputation:
1.Although it is a noob beating, this cherry will be a medal for me for advertising toh "are u in toh? www.toheroes.com its online tourney. check it out. its more fun playing..." Guess, i have typed those lines around 100 times now. And amongst opponents i have played with, there are several really honorable guys which will be fun to play again.
2.I play all available maps (basically, any map opponent wants to play), simply land of outcasts is almost only finishable now. So far played some 40 games, finished 15...
3.The map actually can be lots of fun - there are several good strategies how to play it and with good opponent day 5 rush is a lost game.

Well daym you zilonite, now valky keeps rushing me to get revenge. So far the synch bug has saved me, but who knows what will happen next patch

Arangar: I couldnt view the video on that link, because I don't want the google thing installed. But whatever it does, seems nasty. I'm guessing that nobody is applying it to their games now, but anyways.
Zilonite: Just kidding... but out of curiousity, the rush thing, is is only successful as red, or can go both ways? Because if it is a one-sided first turn advantage, then it isn't very fair.

Tc_Fear is from Lithuania, our neighbouring country. Yet it seems that the spirit is the same

You can do it both ways. Albeit red has some advantages (grass instead of dirt+half day ahead), they are not game-breaking. In my case crucial is the day 4 when number of marksmen jumps over 100...

I was unaware that map was so crappy that a day 5 rush was possible, I don't like reading and disecting a map beforehand, takes some of the adrenaline rush away from the game.
That being said, I am ready for your next day 5 rush

In the past small type maps have always been banned for Tournament play in TOH. Now I dont know that actual size rating that UBI gives this Outcast map. But I would think any map that you can reach your opponent day 5 and end game, would surely fall into catagory of small type map. Again seems like a glorified Duel game. And since Duels are not allowed...I wonder how clicking the end turn button 4 times makes it a tournament worthy game then? Just curious. Something to think about?
