I don`t like mech dragon, medusa and the pephrechants... And also I don`t like any humans at all...
But I haven`t seen much of the new guys...

hmm.. my reasoning was that the orcs might suit the wolves, and they would look better in the stronghold (like before) together with the trolls, and the trolls are a surprising choice for a level 1 creature (imho they should be higher), and that the berserker (that i thought was a very poor dwarf at first) is not sth very special or good-looking. and that the bright white appearance of the tiger and the thunderbird might not suit well in the mix of the barbarians. so.. if we could have the rock back instead of the thunderbird, we might imho get quite a nice pack of creatures that fit together well imho.
1. orc and wolf
2. centaur and troll (maybe a bit less civilized centaur and a bit stronger-looking troll)
3. ogre mage and rock
4. cyclop and behemoth
dang, all this reasoning seems to fall apart now just because the white tiger is a creature of the north.. oh, well.. maybe i should start to support the sabretooth here, as the sabretooth might be a creature that might have preserved only in the preserve, but it's colors do not suit the preserve as nicely, and also the sabretooth is not much of a mythological creature. thanks for the input on the white tiger anyway, i wish i had had it before i started to think about the whole stronghold thing.

Cool,
Preserver, that mantis picture is really good!! Too bad that they didn't use that exacto ne in the game, then it would have been much better.
I do believe however, that the white tiger will be in Stronghold or a neutral. Here's my Stronghold Lineup.
Lv.1 Centaur, Goblin
Lv.2 Berserker, White Tiger
Lv.3 Thunderbird, Ogre Mage
Lv.4 Cyclops, Behemoth
I still believe that the centaur should be swapped for the orc!!! >

the mantis on preserver's picture looks much more like a high level creature than the present mantis who looks like a level 1 creature imho.
thinking about the hydra.. the sad thing is that there are two creatures with great graphics on one level, so you can only have one of them. i just wish the hydra was 1 level lower.. i wonder what ability it will have in addition to attack in 5 directions to make it a good choice.. regeneration would be extremely logical maybe?

I don't agree with the hydra going down one level, when i played H2, i thought the hydra was out of place behind the Black Dragons, but when it got movedd up to the top level, i really enjoyed it.
Though one that could go down a level is cyclops, but it's good where it is, i think.

i am afraid that ppl will prefer the black dragon over hydra if they are both level 4, so the hydra will rarely be used by players. but yeah, there are some good creatures on level 3 in asylum that should definitely be no lower than level 3, so there is no room there anyway.
hydra: hmm.. interesting.. if it was sth like your proposal of the stronghold, i would also like it. if the thunderbird and the cyclop were swapped, i could avoid the bright white creatures completely, and also avoid the probably very slow ogre mage..

Yes. That would be a bonus. You could have the Cyclops and Behemoth. But not to be. Unfortunately in a way, 3DO has confirmed all lineups.
With the devil. I liked it better in HOMM3. What has it got on its arm??

Have you seen a picture of the Orc for the LotR movies?
They look great and they do have looong ears.

I'd like to see a flying shooter that could fly all the way across the battle map, shoot units too slow to catch up then fly all the way across the map again.
That would really PIZZ ME OFF!! so i'd use it on you instead... Pbpbpbpbt!!
