Heroes V of Might and Magic V patch v.1.1 is out!

3. Changes in patch 1.1

(!) Some fixes will take effect only after map restart, if loading from an older version save.

Features added:

- Auto-patcher
- EASY mode

Bugfixes:

- MP does not start if the player states differ
- "Ubi.com error" message does not appear after a win in a rating game
- Random cities use name and description from map
- Profile screen fixes (experience, alignment)
- Haven: stables message is back, other messages fixed
- Profile screen: random race games now shown correctly
- Camera glitches in Rebellion' campaign map cutscene removed
- Item selection in lobby screen fixed
- Ghost mode 'guard' command fixed
- Ghost mode after disconnection turn transfer fixed
- Profile info for other players now accessible
- Map info for MP games is localized
- The spells added by the library are given to the hero immediately
- MP game preferences panel fixed
- "Resisted" combat text fixed
- Training games results are not reported to Ubi.com now
- Hero perk rolls fixed
- Elemental creatures not affected by Wasp Swarm spell now
- Druid Elder's Mana Feed ability fixed
- Temptress hero specialization fixed
- Some points of Combat AI fixed
- 'The Promise' campaign map 3rd cutscene sound fixed
- ATB Bar refresh fixed
- Separate stacks displayed in Combat Results
- Heroes planned paths searching at turn start/after whirlpool fixed
- Invalid level ups (double skill increases) blocked
- Representation of heroes on boats in ghost mode now is correct
- After all players disconnected from Ghost mode game ends correctly
- Combat pathfinder does not ignore the moat
- Artifact Merchant submenu can not be called by hotkey without the building
- Reconnected players can't see themselves on Ubi.com now
- Dark Raider retaliation strike fixed
- Creatures under Berserk spell effect always attack now
- Refined Mana perk fixed
- Hut of Magi still shows areas after pressing Esc key
- Castle gates are closed immediately
- Zero-count monsters on low difficulty levels fixed

- MP game name length is restricted

- Hero Jhora gets Magic Missile spell due to her specialization description
- Inferno and Necropolis lightmaps recalculated
- Maeve hero Tactics removed
- '954 YSD: Hot Pursuit': some map objects fixed
- 'Dragon Pass': object fixed, rebalanced
- fixed instant travel holes
- Duel presets rebalanced
- 'The Betrayal' campaign map message for garrison approach added
- 'The Expansion'campaigm map multiple fixes added (hero skills, messages, added guards)
- 'Raelag's Offer' campaign map: texture near Inferno Military Post fixed
- The game works with onboard video and some of the older video cards now
- LAN games can now be played in different segment configurations

WHAT ?! I finaly had Agrael so far the he only needed one more level to get this. Now I probably have to get a load of new skills. Damn. Either way it's easier now.

hmmm... not really fixes for multiplayer, I hope they still did something for those nasty disconnects and corruptions of games.

Ubisoft stated that there will be a whole patch for MP stability, they still seek the source of the problem, they intend to release patch every 1-2 months or so.

Can anyone tell me why I can't install the patch? It gives me an error saying "Heroes of Might and Magic V is not installed. Patch can not be applied."

It must be because you try to install patch for different version. I tried to apply US patch to EU heroes version and it didn't work, I will soon try again and will edit my post on my discoveries...

Edit: Confirmed. Since I'm from the Europe region, Eu version of the patch worked fine. So before patching check the patch version you're downloading.

You know what else is hard?  I had the download at 48mb when my internet disconnected me (pity me, I have dial up).  Usually I can reconnect and continue the download but not with Ubi's servers.  Three and a half hours down the drain.  Why is this patch so large anyway?  I see no changes which should warrant such a large download size, just fixes to the horrendous campaign (shudders at abysmal dialogue).  Perhaps if there were maps then I would understand.  

I was downloading the proper version by the way.

Heroes 5 v.1.1 patch

I finally found all EU, Russians and other versions of the patch v1.1 in

I hope we can see lot of these upgs coming. In one year there is again a new mission pack in stores available! And maybe new castle like in H3AB. Well let's leave the dreams behind and see you in the battle field!

They need to precompile a whole module or even the whole engine to take efect.

So they introduced an easy mode....but what happend to the normal mode? I don't see it any more ...also even though I installed the patch it sill says v 1.0 .

So it's better to uninstall the game and keep it uninstalled for the next 6 months. Maybe it will be really finished as it should be then.. ~~

The fix for older video cards is the one that really interests me!!!! I think I will actually have to go out and buy the game now rather than waiting as I have been to get a better card.... I didn't think that it would work on my card but now

has anyone tried to see if the older video card part fixes the problem? the game doesnt work because of ma video card, im not sure whether to purchase the game or will this make it work on any video card.. i just got a new computer but the video card is very basic.. any ideas?

bugs i found in the new "patch" :
- tooltip for the control fields is totaly screwed up.
- normal difficulty has vanished! you must either play in easy difficulty or hard difficulty (or heroic) how crapy is that?
