I have a choice to play on easy,normal,hard,heroic. So I'm not missing the normal difficulty and I have EU version of the game.

I have the US version and get all the difficulty modes also...
But my old saved game gave me garbled text display, and I had to restart the mission to fix it:

I have the US version and I'm pretty sure that I am able to choose Normal difficulty as well. Although previously I was playing on hard, when I started Heroes up after the patch it had selected Normal difficulty for me.

Any know which forums Nival actually reads ?
I still don't get why the CD/DVD must be inserted when it isn't even used!! Can't wait for a nocd/nodvd patch to be released again.
Also, not making a single patch for all versions is also beyond my understanding. A single patch makes it so much easier. So far have I counted 9 diffent patches to v1.01.

Well in the original enumeration for difficulty, Easy was included, but for some reason, Easy and Normal were both 0.

I see the same thing...and it also says it's still v1.0 instead of v1.1....hmmmm....did u use a nodvd/nocd for v1.0 after u patched the game?...I did...so it might be because of that.

There is a whole slew of Torrents for the patches being hosted at http://Tracker.OracleLeague.com
Check the version you need, get the torrent, get BitTornado if you need a BitTorrent client, and get the patch
BitTornado is preferred because there are WebSeeds that only BitTornado (and a select few other clients) can connect to... WebSeeds dramatically speed up your download.
And you dont have to register OR pay! =)

What game vers. do you have (i.e us/aus/eu). I have us and i have all 4 options (easy, normal, hard, very hard). The thing i find stupid about all this is all they did was make normal -> easy, hard -> normal, very hard -> hard, and then added a new very hard. What was the necissary change with this?

Hello.
HELP! The Patch screwed up my game!
I installed the patch and now my game crashes back to Desktop every time I try to End Turn!
I've NEVER had my game crash before. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?
Please Help! I can't play it anymore!

Hello.
To Spiritwalker: Yes, I installed the correct patch, because it won't let you install the incorrect one, plus I read the patch info(I'm not completely stupid).
I've never "fiddled" with the registry or altered the game in ANY way.
It's exactly the way I installed it.
I hope I won't have to completely re-install. This sucks.

Good luck if you have to reinstall. I've tried uninstalling probably 30 times with varying degrees of success. Now it's uninstalled but when I attempt to reinstall, it still gives me the "confirm uninstallation" window and that's it. I'm tempted to freakin' wipe my computer right now.

Hello.
Well I went ahead and uninstalled. No problem like others have had.
DELETED that stupid patch.
Re-installed the game. So far so good.
Oh no! I forgot that this game will run so slowwwwwwwwwww for about the first 15-20 times I play it.
Oh well, at least it's not crashing at the "end turn" anymore.
I'm not installing ANY more patches untill they fix them.
Sloppy work.
