My favourite 4th level unit is battle griffin cause their stats are fine and they got good special.

the 2 lizards. their usefulness mainly depends on the defense of the enemies. grim raiders will be less useful against inferno, dungeon or academy. I guess the brisk raider is especially great against inferno.

I always prefer grims... the brisk raiders' ability is far too situational to have a noticable effect on the battle and even without the heros' defense added in a creatures base defense can still be pretty significant. It's not going to work aginst gremlins but against a black dragon I'd prefer grim raiders intead of brisks.

I can't vote here too. Level 4 is quite balanced, anyways I like battle griffins : if succeed, dive is just awesome !
Also it is a good flying unit, which is stil usefull.

Grim raiders are the best when you have the artifact called windstrider boots or another +1 speed boost then they can just run across the battlefield attacking every enemy caster/archer you want and doïng max. dam.
Brisks are good 2 but it's harder to use them properly...
and they both have that lizard bite attack(extremely good when you have Sorgal and 6 stacks of blood furies!)
They get my vote!

Now I must disagree...
Dungeon really owns the game when playing 3+months
then they've got a good chance to have rage of the elements, runic artifacts and other elemental boosters...
Give me a good reason why they're weak in long games and maybe you're right... maybe...

I'd suggest that you try it against haven, sylvan, fortress, inferno or orcs. Uh uh bad idea.

If already won several times with dungeon against haven, academy, sylvan AND fortress(in one alliance) on an impossible-sized map at difficulty normal(AI cheats at hard)
I didn't change anything else then the alliances.
Oh yes, I had one ally(necropolis)...

I think he meant against another player. the AI only offers a challenge in hard mode and probably in impossible too.
