Got a little carried away there; even if magic immunity doesn't cancel blesses that were cast before it the seraphs would have to eat a few armageddons beforehand.

yeah, but your solutions are too predictable

You are looking at it the wrong way, it's armageddon that is predictable. Also if you DO assume I have counters there is no way of telling for sure nor can you do something about it. Suppose you pick warmachines for saboteurs, what do you suppose will happen to ballista after a good armageddon? And magnetics are not required to make an armageddon tactic work, might as well kill them.

ah yeah that's true, you can't immune a ballista against magic (?)

cast an armaggeddon which is stronger than the opponent's one

armageddon vs armageddon... that would be a short fight.

Anyway, always feel free to get untamed cyclopes if you know your enemy won't have the big dark spells. Their damage is something else.

I will try.  It really depends.  Untamed are a bit stronger, as they can hit multiple opponits, but they are dangerous also especially if you do not have shatter dark and your opponit has Puppet Master.

While Blood Eyed can also hit multiple stacks, it is a bit more..situational.  Also, reducing an enemys luck is never a bad thing.

I would say .. for seiges probably Untamed, otherwise Blood Eyed.  Make SURE to have Expert Shatter Dark with Untamed regardless.  Nothing like having your own Cyclops thrash your troops.  Also careful where you station it, and your other troops.  It is safer to only use Untamed under specific circumstances.

Well Blood Eyed remind me of the Good Old Homm2
But untamed are the heart of an Barbarian army for me...
In terms of gameplay, i would take untamed and tame them with chiefs

You are also dead set on spamming the place. Continue down that road and your second penalty isn't far.

I have a question to ask.

what is the point of the shadow mistriss being a caster, but not a shooter??Its really messed up and ruins the funner line-up!!

And I can see the reason why some find it wiser to avoid untamed and I agree that an untamed cyclops that has been puppet mastered (or worse, frenzied) can be devastating!
as it is very leathal to your forces

Salutations, oh son of Urgash - Demonking.
Dont be mad at Elvin. He is a great moderator and very fair too. He has many years of experience both here in the HC as well as in the Round Table and has seen all kinds of trolls, spammers attention-wh*res and whatnot trying to flood their way to fame. He (and many of us) have also personally observed hardcore spammers end up making very good, contributive posters along the years.

What is causing a bit of misunderstanding here is your way of posting: by means of quoting whole posts, replying it with a single sentence and lots of unnecessary unrelated emoticons. This are all classical characteristics of trolls and spammers that preceeded your comming to the HC. Thats why I clearly understand why Elvin has his eyes on you.

But I have also seen you make nice efforts to contribute to the discussion threads, and you seem to be genuinely interested in learning some game-tactics, which I think are both great things. All you have to do is to work on your posting style a bit and you shall have a nice road ahead of you here in the HC (even when you develop a provocative/ironical style of posting, being the son of Urgash you are).

Have fun and develop your talents in HOMM V. We can always make good use of strong players.

Wolfs

P.S - Sorry for the off-topic here, lads.

Not sure if this is at all useful actually but just something I found rather nice to 'exploit' when playing Inferno. Even with a bunch of feeble low level junk you can easily take out groups of non-flying, non-shooting large creatures, and even small ones if the terrain is in your favor.

Enemy creatures will avoid attacking summoned or gated stacks as long as they see an open path towards your actual army. You can exploit this by creating a 'trench' with gated units, periodicly blocking off and opening the pathways that lead to your army, so you basicly end up jojo-ing the enemy mobs while your shooters, hero, and cerberi casually pick them off. The moment they would pass through the opening on their next turn, you block it off with a gated stack and open the other one, effectively keeping them running back and forth. Make sure to withdraw your cerberi though before the enemy troops get their turn.

Also, do -not- block off all routes they have to your army; they WILL attack your gated stacks in that case.

I find it quite fun to take down 25+ Ancient Treants this way, especially if the terrain is in your favour by already providing some obstacles in the middle of the field. If it doesn't, you would have to line up some gated stacks there, ideally.

everyone says that the bloodeyed cyclop is safer to use than the untamed one, but it shouldn't be the only reason to pick it. the luck reduction always trigger, and if you hit 2 units, it means -6 luck. I suppose against crystal dragons, bloodeyed could be more useful than untamed, especially if you have stormwind and can decrease their chance before they reach your ranks.

hehe, Fauch, one of the main reasons whether I would pick untamed is based on speed...ie. whether it can reach enemy to give a great wacking stun on multiple units on first action

Seems to be an interesting strategy Moonlith! In case you ever get the chance to save a replay of this strategy in work I would love to take a look at it!
