Well I don't like it when the comp player always "knows" where I am, even though they had not explored that area,such that they will always move in the other direction and avoiding my attacks (though I should be invisible to them).

Otherwise I had little problem with them (apart from horned overseers who self explodes for no reasons and creatures staying in the moats). They know to attack my creatures though phantoms are available, and know to position minotaur guards with grim lizards. I never faced with other AI cheats though.

@Zatoichiretty sure.Despite what the manual sais the AI never fled from me on hard even when it had one small stack and it was obvious I would kill it on my next round.I see the same now.

@cantaresg:We are being watched A few days ago the AI came to my area for the first time,followed the road and entered the portal which led to my town only wasting a few steps to kill neutrals on the way for xp.It was freakish...No wonder it defeats other players on week 3!

Haha. Like I always told my brother, well its the comp afterall. They know, even when they shouldn't, just to be fair. I always had to use two heroes to corner one weak AI hero who goes around ransacking my mines. Is there a better solution to this?

I think they centered on the graphics...i dont mean to say that programming A.I. is easy but heuristics are...it just takes forever but can be done. I made a dumb game for my little brother with 3 different alternatives: genetic algorithms, pure heuristic & neural network. It took me 3 weeks from zero. The A.I. is not a simple thing at all on adventure map BUT some battle decisions are. But well...here we all are...criticising a game AI which we do not know...im sure they worked hard on it. Im only saying that they went for a more commercial product instead of investing more coding in the IA. Besides, once u release an application, the client always falls for the looks & then come the complains & so come the patches
