Very Big online gaming problem

I Need Help! Well, For one, i have HOMM3 Complete, and when i go to click online play, the game will exit, second, when i hos a game using tcp/ip, my friend cannot connect. he's not using my network IP, i have opened up the ports on my router (the one's listed in the forum for the online gaming it was the first topic on this board when i saw it)

Could it be to do with me using a "Cracked" Version? My install disc would not reach all the way to 100% so i copyed the disc and used a cracked heroes 3 file.

It sure has! Almost every game has some sort of protection for online and singleplayer so you should by the real game and couldn't enjoy pirated version.

So if you have real one just re-install and should work fine.

That's the problem i do have the real one, i had to copy it to get the installation process to reach 100% it'd stop at around 70% if i use the original.

That shouldn't effect the TCP/IP connection should it? I can host, he can try to connect, i see him trying to connect on a program called "Port Explorer" but he get's disconnected a few seconds later.  I installed the game on another computer on my network and joined my game without a problem, and again, i didnt use my network IP, i used my internet IP.

It doesn´t affect your TCP/IP connection. Heroes3 can be played online with full version and with "not completely 100% official executive file" also...
But the interesting part in your case is this one:

...and when i go to click online play, the game will exit...

Does that mean u are even not able to play hotseat mode?

Btw...i edited your thread title. I changed the word "program" into "problem"..

Now this is ok like this...coz the last button with "the world" lead u to a place which doesn´t exist anymore.
If u wanna play with your friend, just click on Multiplayer, TCP/IP and then either on Host or on Search.
If u wanna play online with other players than your friend, u can do that through an online server on GAMESPY. How to do that can be read in the sticky thread of the Library here called "How can i solve my online problems exactly..".

I had this too, when reinstalling, I had to make sure I'd deleted every suggestion of Heroes 3 from the hard drive first I think (can't really remember, it was some time ago).

oh no, it's not that, the dude that i got the game from had a little brother who was oblivious to what a cd case was.  so it's scratched to hell. I used a cd re-serfacer and got it up another 20 %, but that's all. I also thought the same thing, cleared every thing out, even the registry, nothing, tryed it on a freshly re-done (Fresh install of everything) computer, stoped at same %
