Inquisitor's rock, because even though they don't do much damage, their attack looks really cool and that's really what its all about.

Master Hunters - two shots + warding arrow, always a must in elven armies throughout the heroes series, needless to say more.
Skeleton Archers - not much to say, low cost, beating most others by sheer numbers.
Vampires - from the very beginning of the fraction - the backbone of the necro army, classics, unchanged and still effective.
Paladins - cavalry... also a classic unit with great strikind power.
Liches - just as the vampires :-)
Blood Furies - new ones, nice looking, extremely effective and fast... a pity that nearly always targeted in first place :/
yes i know i should place bone dragons also but unfortunately maybe except of h2 they were never too strong as for final tier creature

What do I like?! My god, so many ...
Creature 1: Skeleton archers... HUge numbers 
Creature 2: Markmens (since Blood furies dies to much)
Creature 3: Master hunters (Okay, i love ranged units)
Creature 4: Vampire Lords (They are just lovely)
Creature 5: Nightmares (fast and they crush)
Creature 6: Ancient Treant (I need something to protect those ranged units)
Creature 7: Magma dragons (Hard choice, all the lvl 7 Creatures are good... and i choose these because they have great def so my treants and these can protect all)
My tactic is: Shoot! SHOOT! while my vampires and nightmares kill on the field and Treans and magma dragons protect... Then i would choose a def. Light magic + Archery typed hero

I disagree...it doesn't cost any mana like the archmage spells etc.
It often does more damage than the titans normal attack over castle walls.

titans rock...their lightning animation around their body sure makes them look the coolest of all the creatures.
I dislike the archdevil....it looks like a big piece of meatball with toothpick stuck to it.

hard one, in my own opinion i think this is the ultimate line up
Assisins- Poisons Good
Blood Fury- Quick and an early attack
Spectres OR Cerberus- Chance attack will miss OR 3 square attack
Vampire Lord- + some to health
Hydra- Strong, but a weak attack
Paladin- overall good unit
Lava Dragon- fire shelid and health rocks!

I prefer a combination with Blood furies , Grim raiders and Shadow witches/Matriarchs . It can defeat any neitrals without any lose and frequently even without mana wasting .

I like the grim raider, (deep)hydra, black dragon, druid, wight/wraith and spectre. Liches and genies are cool too.

An army of Master Hunters in the corner, Druids one tile up (to make impossible access to the Hunters), and an Unicorn to compensate and also block (it also has magic resistance which, combined with abilities and artefacts can really be useful if enemy cast fireball or mass spells, hehe). In general I also like Sprites (strike first, kill most).. once I battled with Academy, the Sprite was first to strike (and had +1 speed thanks to Windstrider boots), and did a splash attack on Archmages, Gremlins and Titans -- actually with a luck boost, it killed all the Archmages, all the gremlins and 4 Titans..
But I usually like elves (dark elves are here too). I also played with Demon quite a bit, and Familiars can really be a pain in the ass for the enemy!

Well I guess I have to break this into two categories, Looks and Skill.
Level Looks Skill
1 Sprite, natures clothes Imp, mana drain...
2 Blood Fury Marksman, 8 damage
3 Bear Rider, bears rock Master Hunter, dam. x2
4 Griffin better w/o armor Grim Raider, Lizard Bite
5 Inquisitor, attack sweet Nightmares, fast, gate
6 Rakaja Raja, Wraith, tie Paladin's, charge...
7 Emerald Dragon, flying Fallen Angels (haven't used yet
but amazing stats plus life drain.
Alright there you have it, the official best looks and skill per level . Have fun out there.

its a good combination, but what if your fighting stuff like paladins?they'll just run you over while stopping your shadow witches from shooting since they go before blood furies.

My favorite unit is probably Archlich. Only creature what is strong creature in Necropolis town when compared to other towns. Then convert all possible lv5 creatures to Liches is very nice.

My favourite unit is the blood fury.(amazing lv2 unit)
Among the stronger creatures I like black dragons,archangels and the overpowered fallen angels.

arch lich rox!!!!!!!!!but when low in numbers cast decay if you dont have a straight arrow at anything.i did that and killed all my freinds pit freinds hahahahahaahahahahahaha

Haha My absolute fav in H3(as well as my avatar) but in H5 I have to say my favorite tank is ghosts(at least early in the game). Incopral is just awesome. Also Magma dragons are pretty sweet. You can get them relativley quick, and damn do they have some HP!

Tier 1:Assassin,Familiar
Tier 2:Archer,Blood fury
Tier 3:Cerber,Spectre,Master hunter
Tier 4:Grim raider,Imperial griffon,Druid elder,Vampire lord
Tier 5:Inquisitor,silver unicorn
Tier 6:Shadow matriarch,pit lord
Tier 7:Shadow dragon,black dragon,emerald dragon,titan
