Any way the talking about good and evil is only excuse for people and organizations to make what they want.It is only a tool of the proparanda everywhere on earth.But good and evil dont exist!!!
And for the thread i dont see what is the problem with that the necros want to live(exists) forever. Immortality is a goal of many.

Sure I do and don't worry I am not the fanatic preaching type However it is common knowledge that some people want to help others out of moral obligation and some enjoy other people's suffering.And of course the inbetween case where people may be slightly indifferent,helping the people they love which may or not care about others' predicament and are more susceptible to 'not so good' deeds.As with the theory of yin and yank all of us have properties of black and white,just some have a focus.Concept of good and evil still exists even if some organisations/your community label things as such according to their desires and what they have to gain.What is rewarding for me doesn't mean it's good but certainly doesn't make it wrong if it's not.
As for the necros it's not the matter of immortality but that their intentions are questionable at best.Many of their heroes are clearly evil by the biography description while others pass as normal heroes with unconfirmed alignment.And raising the dead can be overlooked too but raising an army by killing people to gather strength or transforming them into undead unwillingly feels evil.Leaving Markal out of this why would the other necro heroes want to destroy the elven capital?Revenge?That would be against the wizards.In this respect most if not all people who have played the Gauldoth campaign cannot call Gauldoth evil.

well now that is well put.and yes that is a good question as well.the holy nuterual of the realm why would they want to kill the elves.the only thing I can think of is that the elves want to kill the vampire lord so there out to stop them from doing just that as he would be there new power player.just like at the start every body was on the queens side and would do anything for her includeing side with the necro's at first.and if you remember the necro campaigne the elves drew first blood in that champaigne by interfeiring in the reclaiming of the artifacts.yes or no.and now the necro's are returning the fight to them and there evil so why did the elves attack them in the first place?but like I said before you can debate this for ever simply b/c no one is going to see it the same as each other thats our freedom of chioce coming through.

There is no such things as good and evil - its only mather on which side you are. Thats why i like nerco and dislike all kind of elf races because they are drivellers.In my opinion Necros are good, elfs are bad.(Sylvan have attack orientation)

The elves were invaded by Nicolai after necro heroes attacked the borders and took Syris Thalla.As for earlier the elves' actions aren't out of place.They tried to intercept a necromancer which seemed to rule the griffin empire from the unprecedented attacking of the wizards(it also seemed like it happened for no reason to them) and cursing their cities.But I guess it doesn't really matter as we're all pretty set in our beliefs

Well Crag Hack didn't hate them but he hated fighting them.Ugly and smelly...Oh the stench!Not sure about after he was tricked by Sandro however

a lot of necromancy was done with good intentions, in fact, one of the few examples of necromancy in HOMM done without good intentions was Vidomina's alchemical-turned-necromantic experiments (from H4).

You don't know that.After all she went to become Sandro's apprentice and did get a good glimpse what being a necromancer is about.And necromancy's primary function in heroes is raising the dead,something most dislike.
