Hey,
- Well thanks for the "offer" CaptL , I'll keep that in mind.. if I ever see you or find out how to pm non "friends" ( if that is even possible).
- Yet another n00b question from my part of the Globe.
- Say I have an Ali Baba ( clean ) can I further rune that up?
Strength 2 Socket Melee Weapons Amn + Tir 35% Enhanced Damage
25% Chance Of Crushing Blow
7% Life Stolen Per Hit
+2 To Mana After Each Kill
+20 To Strength
+10 To Vitality With this... just an example...
- Enigma and my assassin works very well... on NM :/ I usually take 2-4 runs on Meph and I have 1-2 full sets with my mf around 500% and trap(s) doing 2.5K ..... still weak when I try to go further on NM. Still mf is even more addictive than the game itself'ish ...

Look Sphere, anything with any amount of socket's in it, you can further rune it up.
Say for example the Ali Baba has the stats you mentioned, and because it has rather good stats but slow attack speed you put 2 shael runes in it, the attack speed will go to Fast attack speed.
Or yopu could put extra magic find.
Anything with runes in it you can rune up.

But you cant make a runeword from it. Just wanted to make clear what Wilzu just said. For example, if you put those amn and tir in it, it wil just give you 7% life stolen and 2 mana after each kill.

Yep that was exactly what I was saying, you cannot make "strength" runeword from it, although strength sucks thats just an example.

- No I am certainly not.
- Anywhoooosss, I may have been a bit unclear. What I wanted to know was, simply, if you have, say an Ali Baba and "rune it up " was meant as if you possibly could make another runeword from this Elite Item.
Ali Baba - Tulwar ... and have ( my example ) Strengh added further more. I got my answer - no.

You can put runes into it and it will increase strength yes, ust like any other weapon.
Your question was not clear at all.

Hey,
- Been running a barb ( mace only ) for a while and I have the full IK set already ( lvl 81 ) - ( Yes Nid, it is only hack'n slash, with very limited "how to build it" ) but for me and being the 1 time it's ok fun .
- A few questions though, I am about to make a Delirium Helm and Splendor/Wealth shield. All is meant to be "all-rounders" meaning that it's not runed for just 1 toon in particular. What approx. def on the helm/shield(s) should I go for before I make them ?
- On normal I can find some with 120 max ( thats just me ) but on NM I dont see much difference in the defence .... should I wait till Hell ? and Are the defence that much better overall ?

Wait till you go to hell, do some Cow Runs, you will find alot of good socketed items in that place,well not always but you often run into some good socketed weapons.

Hey,
- Been on a Marathon with my barb ( 3 hours  ) to fill my treasure chest. One thing bugs the hell out of me though.... I can take on just about anything PvC at the place I am in hell now. So I was feeling generous ( and "mighty" ) when a lvl 1 asked to be rushed. All was going as planned.. till we reached those frikking Doom Knights/Mages ... 1 friendly.. and I really mean that  chop from me and  WHAM I'm dead ... on normal. Could someone please explain in simple terms what the devil they cast , and preferably how to avoid the ( on my part) ?
Edit I have almost 4k htp's and lash out ( with Ik hammer,clean) around 3.5 to 4.7k Dmg.

The Doom Knights/Mages cast Iron Maiden, and I think that is what kills you, and I have tsted this out several ways:
On normal with my level 87.
In single player with my level 99, defense over 1 billion, and I still died.
All I know is that they cast Iron Maiden which reduces your defense by alot I think, so stay away from them, but I am not too sure if it that what kills you.
And Sphere, do you ever listen or take my advice that I give to you?
Because it doesnt seem like it, you repeat some questions alot, and it tads to get slightly annoying.

Actually william, iron maiden does not reduce your def... it reflects a % (ranging from 200% at skill level level 1 to 675% at level 20) of the physical melee damage your char does to the caster of the curse (in this case the doom knights). Thus high level physical damage chars such as sphere's barb are at a significant disadvantage when attacking these monsters. To avoid the , do not attack it with a melee char when you see this on top of your head:
@sphere:
for the helm, the ideal all rounder must have a str requirement of as little over 103 as possible. the def comes second after that: so a bone visage (possible max def of 157 and more if a superior grade) or a demonhead (max def 154, more if superior) would be a good choice for a 3 soc helm.
same concept with shield: most important is that the str requirement must be low and the actual def plays second fiddle.
As for splendor, a 2soc trolls nest would be a good option (str 106 and max base def 173)
wealth runeword cannot be made on a shield

Actually, I did say that I was mistaken, once when we were doing Act 4. Unfortunately, you weren't paying attention because you were either insulting me or we were arguing at the time (oops, same thing).

Just haven't found.. or read can figure out which is better ).. just need some backups so that would be sweet if we could go that way mate
@ToG , Thanks for clearing that up, I was sorta clear on which spell(s) they cast.. just got Life Tap and Iron Maiden mixed up somehow... now I know.
- I have made some lowbies Enigmas ( yeah I said I was a n00b ) but none wanted to trade them ( for high end gear that is ) ... untill I read your post and looked over my inventory and discovered a str55 def 270 Mage Plate ... That Enigma they wanted to trade with... get it.. low str for example Sorc. ... got it got it
- Now for my "weekly" questions 
- Are there some link/ web where I can see all drops ? or possibily just the basic layout ?
- Any place I could get a better feel of the trading community , as in what is my 2 newly required Ohm runes worth.. like that ?
- On Non ladder ( where I play ) is it possible to add extra sockets from Horadric Cube ?.... found some info from Arreat Summit but not sure if that is ladder or none.
- In simple terms .. why are ppl som darn interrested in p-gems? ( found some info on the Summit too ) just not sure if it's ladder or not.
- Anyone else plays Europe none ladder besides me ( and those mentioned here ) ? Maybe we could hook up sometimes ( Nidhgrin and Angelito --- pull ya self together and lets go hunting

Well you sure made a mistake when you made your non-ladder character that's for sure, even despite me telling you over and over again via HCM to make a ladder you still made a non-ladder more evidence that you clearly ignore anything I say, but I bet you will ignore this aswell.
YES it is possible to add extra sockets via Horadric Cube I think.
P-Gems are important because you can, if yo8u have enough of them, trade them for High Runes.
Angelito and Nidhgrin are probably busy with RL and would come later and like I told you, you should have made a Ladder Character but ofcourse you ignored me completely
