WoG for Linux?

j0.

When Ubuntu was released, I figured I'll give it a shot and ordered some discs. Now I have them and I'll try them out later in the week.

I'm a TOTAL n00b when it comes to Linux-based OS-stuff, but I know you can simulate certain Windows-based applications through emulators such as Wine. I also know Wine supports Heroes III Complete, but my biggest question is wheter it supports Wog or not..

Cheers

It's the latest version.. 6.06LTS or something.. Aka "Dapper Drake", I think. It was released June 1st.

Wine should support Heroes III Complete. Maybe I just try WoG out? I'll install Ubuntu later this evening (think +1-time) and I think I'll try HIII C/Wog tomorrow. I tell you how it turns out.

Aw, man. Things are, of course, NOT going as planned!

I just HATE my old HDD right now! Death to Windows and MBR! (I want to keep WinXP, IF I don't like Ubuntu, but it won't let me do anything at all right now.)

I report back tomorrow. Good luck, Karashan.

And there it goes. The faulty, and kinda new (Diamondmax 9) drive just died. That leaves me with an incredible old Maxtor-disk that has caused a bunch of BSOD's recently. Good thing though that I backed up the most important things I had on the now dead drive. Also good that most of my mp3's exists on my Ipod too. Bad thing is that I REALLY need a new HDD. I don't have the money now, but in a few weeks.

I think I pluck in some old Quantum Fireball-disk to try Ubuntu out though.. Man, this has caused more problems than I need and have time for.
