I used to cast my vote with the Rakshasa, then I got swayed towards the Paladin, but I must say, after the introduction of the Rakshasa Kshatra, I'm starting to lean back in that direction. It's a close call either way.

There is one way to prevent it.Don't use shooters in that battle.
EDIT:Remember, Elvin, that I'm a Necro player, so creatures with high initiative goes off.Also, they'll act before my hero, and they also gain (pretty often, too) good morale, so even with terrain obstacles is pointless.Also my skillwheel plan won't help me very much.I'm more for the very lategame play.Nor the artifacts.

Right  Personally I would be glad if he used champions, easier to curse his army. Enlightenment for defense is a must just as logistics for swift mind. Exactly because it is lategame you'll easily have 30 power and you have good chances to play first, puppet them and kill half his army before he gets a chance to dispel.

I quite like pit lords because of their destructive magic, but paladins are also good.

Sometimes I'm thinking "but does my enemy have teleport?", then I frenzy a shooter stack (rather than a powerful melee stack) either he teleports it to me to be slaughtered or it attacks an adjacent melee stack and gets slaughtered. Of course you shouldn't try frenzy on academy.

still IMHO i woldn't count on magic mirror to much and academy players almost always take Havez, Nur, Jhora or Nathir...
