Didn't Andre the Giant (professional wrestler personality) die in the 90's?

. . . man I truly loved that guy. He was such a nice guy.

Oh?

I am a father, husband, and dedicated friend . . . and I still love and play D&D. In fact I play D&D and go to a christian church regularly. I absolutely love my religion and still love the role playing just as much. I don't see why people feel the need to stop playing. I think it's fun.

I fully agree. I don't see why some group, any group feels they should have total thought control of a persons life, be it chruch or government. I for one am getting tired of some group making me act in a PC maner.

I know this is trivial and kinda hokey, but... Nearly everyone here was either born, or grew up in the nineties. Yes some of are older, but we still grew (aged) during the nineties. Anyone not meeting this criteria would be six or less.

No...
What if they were 7, then they wouldn't have had memorable experiences until 2003 or 2004.

I'd say for most of this stuff you'd have to be >13, and for some of it like the school stuff you'd need to be <30 I guess.

old man posting...

i got a check in most of these things (yes, some of the embarassing ones too) ...does this make me a 90's kid? ...or simply an 80's kid that refused to grow up? (and according to some still hasn't)

Reading this stuff makes me go years back. I grew up in the nineties and remember most of this stuff. Still I must admit that there are quite a few things that leave me slightly clueless. Still some of the American fads never blew over to The Netherlands.

That this fad blew over to you guys. How about those wonderfully filmed and imaginatively created two miniseries t.v. shows that became history in the making??? Yes that's right you know the ones I'm talking about.

*twitch twitch*

correction... not "history in the making" ...more like "remaking history"

now add to the mix a generation depending on television for knowledge... and you can see why some people think Greece is north of Iceland and to the west of Egypt ...perhaps they are the true 90's kids?

It did blow over, but I believe that it never got as popular as in the USA. Mostly because of the historic incorrectness and maybe because in a small country there are less geeks that get all fanatic about some chick in  not realy effective armor. (not referring to anybody in particular)

Ahhh yes. The 90's.

Back when having multiple computers in your classroom was special.

When America's president was considered as a reasonable head of state by Europe.

When Europe didn't have a single currency.

When burning a CD was something big companies did.

When cellphones weighed 4 pounds and had extendable anttenae.
When cellphones could only be used to phone somebody.

When people used floppy-disks to save their computer files.

When the A-team and the Dukes of Hazzard were not (yet) considdered old.

When people feared the Millenium Bug.

When cartoons would be banned if they were to violent.

When the Islam was considered as just a different religion.
