I just took a brief look and it certainly doesn't look official.Some of the things mentioned are just silly and no-brainers.*A ripple of relief flows through homm fans*

I always liked them...

These Creatures...hmmmm..sounds nice . But is there a point? -Fire Dragon/Ice Spirit-? . I'm a bit confused....where did you get these Informations from ....Surely from the magazine ....but i cannot speak this language the magazine was wroten in (i think russian). Sooo.....Can anyone tell me now...what's about the chimeras? And This Ice Spirit and Fire Dragon .

It's not to bad, hear there will be no babarians, but neutral creatures of course, we need them . So there could be some beutral Orc-kinds, whaever and Cyclops, too and Behemoths?

I think there are enough:

Lvl 1: Goblin/War-Goblin(Hob-Goblin)
Lvl 2: Orc / Orc Cheftain
Lvl 3: Orc-Rider / Orc Knight
Lvl 4: Ogre Mage / Ogre Lord(a bit weird )
Lvl 5: Roc / Thunderbird
Lvl 6: Cyclops / Cyclops King
Lvl 7: Behemoth / Dark Behemoth
Alternative Creatures: Goblin Knight( look at Heroes IV ),
Medusa ( love them ), Efreet( surely not for the babarians ), Satyr, Gnome, Centaur, Harpy, Wolf()
and Gogs ...

I agree there are soo enough Goblinoid creatures alone to make a "Raiders Faction" which I think would be an aproptiate name. And there are definetly enough associated beasts that could be used for variety. Given if it is maid, there would probably be at least 2 orc classes more likely 3.

The new line up is more satisfying than that phony one from yesterday for sure. However so far it is a little vague, but only time will solve that.I find it a little odd that a dwarf race would align themselves with a dragon. Granted it's all how they spin they story, with dwarf probably worshiping the fire dragon, but I thought it would be more likey the fire dragon be an elusive diety like the dragon of light is for the Haven.
I do find it disapointing, the Dwarfs have no mechanical units, instead 4 dwarf race units, which is common for HoMM5 but I think is over doing it for the Dwarfs, especially a mounted unite, and waisting some potential.
I am happy to find out that at least the part about the Dwarfs being nearly developed is true. All the rest of this is just speculation.

The fire dragon won't be the dragon you all think about... (That is it won't be simmilar to other dragons in the game)

Interesting. Are we talking something mechanical here? Or something akin to the Heroes 3 Crystal Dragon? Or something entirely new?

All I can say is that Dwarven Fortress is not associated, with mechanics, the lead mechanic town is still Academy.

Having read the translation, I now like the suggested town more than I did (although it's by no means perfect). What it certainly is, is second place in Nival's design-a-town contest from way back. I recognised the trio of towns mentioned below the creature list (although I don't remember the creatures - I thought all the Nival winners were rubbish).

My guess would be that they found out that the Dwarf town was in and then mentioned the town from the original Nival contest, since it was a Dwarf town too.

Actually not.They come from the leaked map editor and an H5 translator and are as reliable as one could hope them to be(apart from the unofficial lineup).The final version can still end up being (slightly)different.

IDK I can think quite a bit. Actually I assumed it would be drastically different considering we already have 3 dragons. The fire dragon would need something to make it count. Thats a shame that dwarfs are non-mechanical, especially considering that Academy really doesn't do it very well, I'd say descent at best. And dwarf are historically untrusting of magic and more dependant on machines to compensate for it. However, I trust that whatever creations are made, are made for the best variaty and balance of the game. I'm pretty much just hyped for something new to play with.

I agree with you that the mechanical relation would go well with the Dwarves - especially, because the Academy is not mechanical, but rather focusses on animation - the crucual difference being that whereas the Academy constructs move through magic animation of the matter, the Mechanical creatures move through mechanics alone, and no magic. Thus, I don't think there would be any overlap between these two factions, and some sort of advanced siege engine and a Dragon Golem would have done well within the frames of a Dwarven / Forge city imo.

Actually golems by definition are magical: Elemental spirits trapped in artificial body.

I like the way the Dwarven town is headed. I want to see Valkyries and Thunderbirds. The Bear Rider sounds cool too. Rune magic... Beyond cool. But the names Runist... I prefer Inscriber. If it were up to me the list would be:
1. Dwarf Miner/??
2. Dwarf Shield Breaker/Shield Warden - standard level 2 meat unit.
3. Dwarf Crone/ Dwarf Hag - Some old dwarf woman shooter unit who's surrounded by crows that sends them out to attack their enemies. unlimited shots and no range penalty.
4. Inscriber/Runemage - Caster
5. Valkyrie - Dwarven maiden on a pegasus. That or the thunderbirds.
6. Dwarven Thane - Giant dwarf melee unit on a bear.
7. Suprise me!

They are, however in Homm universe they are somewhat a mix, btw magic and mechanics, lately, they became almost purely mechanic...

Well that's not entirely true. If you read the Gargoyle description, for instance, it says that "Gargoyles are statues of flying creatures animated by magic". It does not say so quite as explicitely with the Golems and Giants, but it lies sort of implicit in the description that magic is an important part of the process with lines like "Steel golems are carefully enchanted by their creators" and "Colossi are the most powerful creatures that can be built or summoned by the Wizards".

Not that I have any problems with the Dwarves not being mechanical, but it still wouldn't conflict with the current frame of the game, imo.

Hmm, odd. If the creature buildings line-up is any indication, the Defenders are actually Tier-3, not Tier-4 as shown in the list. All other factions have a separate building for Tier-1, -2 and -3 creatures and a Military Outpost for Tier-4 and higher.

Also, Vlaad, your image links are a bit messed up; only the third one is properly clickable.

I will say this just once:
That's more dwarven units, then there is human units in Heaven faction.

Thane and Brawler line are just not needed.
That's like, let's have 4 different footman dwarven units.
Waaaay to much...

Rider, axemen (ranged and melee), defender and mage should be more then enough for variety.

That line-up does not match the information of Jolly-Joker from yesterday. I don't know what source is more reliable, but JJ mentioned the ranged unit (that would be the Axe Thrower, only ranged on upgrade as JJ mentioned) to be level 2, the footman to be level 1 (that would probably be the Brawler / Berzerker), the mounted unit to be level 3 (that would be the Bear Rider, JJ mentions the Bear as mount, and also puts this as the lowest level Large unit.

That would make for an alternate line-up like this:

Tier#1 Brawler -> Berserker

Tier#2 Axe_Fighter -> Axe_Thrower

Tier#3 Bear_Rider -> Blackbear_Rider

Tier#4 Defender -> Stout_Defender

Tier#5 Rune_Mage -> Flame_Mage

Tier#6 Thane -> Warlord

Tier#7 Fire_Dragon -> Magma_Dragon

I think that would make pretty good sense - to have the Brawlers as the worst units, and the Axe Fighters as better units. Also, it makes sense to have a level 2 + 5 ranged unit, a level 6 teleporter, and a level 1 + 3 + 4 + 7 walker (the Fire Dragon seems to look pretty much like the old Crystal Dragon - walking on hind legs). Of course, JJ might have been wrong off, or they might have changed things.

Also, it seems nice to have some more neutral units - the Manticore, the Mummy and the Wolf seem to make an appearance - and still no Orc, Ogres or Cyclops, keeping the dreem of an Orc/Barbarian town in second expansion alive.
