My website
The song I am entering is called Killer #2 (I named it #2 because the first one was the same length and everything, but it was 128 kbps, whereas this #2 one is 96 kpbs so yeah).
I hope you enjoy it

Woock's messed up ideas from Memory Lane - Part One

This is an assortment of characters from the various images I have made since I took interest in pixelart. Although these differ in origin and inspiration, they were all put gathered in this one file for one reason.

I was going to co-create a webcomic with these guys. All of them.

See, the main idea was this agency that helped various, mostly cartoony characters find jobs as video game characters, webcomic characters or forum avatars. Obviously, this never really took off. Mostly due to the lack of backgrounds. Still, the idea is mine and I still kinda like it. Worthy of being shown off as a talent? You be the judge.

uh oh I have to throw something together in 15 minutes, its friday the last day and I'm leaving the house soon..

Is there a god?
Some people call me athiest, because, they jump to assumption. They believe something prior to investigation, and they even overlook a simple comment I make related to the subject. "I dont know if there is a God or not, I dont know what to believe"

These people have the audacity to say I believe there is no God. And for their displayed proof of lacking credibiity, I should listen to what they say God is?

I have been on the search for facts and truths about God for quite sometime now, and I came up with a thought perhaps 6 months ago (which is not long compared to my 11 year hunt) "God never told me what to believe". God never told me a lot of things, which the culture does. The culture, divided into many subdivisions like religion, and any other random section, all have their ideas about right and wrong, moral, and immoral.

The bottom line is, someone like me who is cursed or seemingly trapped in logical thinking, cant readily accept an unproven, well, an unproven anything, wether it be true or not. I dont know what to believe, because God never told me what to believe, (atleast, to my recollection he hasnt.)

He never told me its ok to kill bugs but I dont. He (or she or it, actualy) never said I can eat animals, but I do, because its so hard not to, primarily.

I wont go into all the complicated reasons why I think there is probably a God, or Gods, but my opinion to "Is there a god?", is yes, most likely in my opinion there is. Although I have not even affirmed that, letalone miniscule details about him, her, or it.

what details?
Is god beyond Love, and Evil?
Is there a phisical form to God?
Is he All Powerful, and if not, what are his limits?
Why do people say him and HE, and is he actualy male? (technicly I have a probable valid awnser to this question)
Is a qualification of being refered to as him or her gender related in some type of afterlife?
(Obvious question) Is there an afterlife?
Will selfish people go there?
Will it compromise of 2, 3, 4, or more existances?
Will it be illusion or real?
What is "real"?

The list goes on..

Finished. thanks

My new entry!

Here we go people! This contest is going to prove to you that your sweet grannie is a multi-talented girl. She can do all sorts of things! She can dance, write, take pictures, make speeches, you name it, she can make it!

Just to keep the tease, this week I'm posting a pretty picture I took myself last week. For the record, it was taken with my digital camera and I haven't made any changes to it with a graphic editor to corrupt this genuine image!

NOTE AND REMEMBER! This is only a little teaser for now. By voting for me, you keep me in the contest and let me show you my finer talents! I've been cooking up not one but TWO new dance routines of better video quality! Practice makes perfect, see that for yourselves! ;-P

Special thanks for your votes, they are highly appreciated!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the third round of HC's Got Talent!

Well, 48 hours have come & gone and the window for HC members to vote for their favourite performers is officialy closed. Now, I'm sure that you must all be asking yourselves: "Who had the most votes? What were the other results from voting? Who will be eliminated from the Contest?" Well, I have a question for you: "How about we not waste any time and find out the answer to your questions right away?" Ok, let's do it!
*First of all, congratulations are in order for our Top 3 Vote-receiving Contestants:
FrienOfGunnar, Kookastar, & myself!
People really loved our performances last week.

*The second thing that the results show us, is that we had an unbelievable 7-way tie between the middle-of-the-pack contestants. In alphabetical order, they are:
-Antipaladin
-Celfious
-Iris
-Lord_Woock
-Lady_Milena
-TA
-William

Your talents grabbed the attention & votes of enough HC members to keep you all SAFE UNTIL NEXT WEEK. Maybe if you take your performances to the next level, some of you will soon be seeing your name in the Top Vote-receiving Contestants list.

*This now brings us to the third question on everybody's mind, namely the elimination. Well, as some of you have probably already figured out, 3 contestants did not submit an entry last week. Unlike RealDeal, who did not give us any explanation as to why he did not showcase his talent in week 1, these 3 contestants have in one way or another shared their reasons with us.

Due to special circumstances, I have decided to allow ChEsHiReKaT to continue on to the next round of the competition. {Read her first Post, near the bottom of the page, to know why.} Hopefully, she will be able to rebound from the events in her personal life and WOW us with her talent this week. To be fair to the other contestants who did showcase their talents this past week, however, I will be implementing a condition to ChEsHiReKaT's "free-pass"; she will have a -1 vote penalty this coming week.

Well, now that that has been settled, I say we continue with the eliminations. Although it pains me to do so, I must bid farewell to our splendid artist, Ruby, and to our great story-teller, TnT_Addict. You both showcased unique and interesting talents in the first week, and unfortunately for our viewers & fellow contestants, that is where your journeys on HC's Got Talent will end. Although it seems that Ruby will be gone from HC altogether, I want to thank both her & TnT_Addict for their contributions! If we're lucky, maybe we'll be hearing more from them in the coming weeks as voters.

*On that note, I declare that the next round is officialy open!

*The remaining 11 contestants now have until Friday night @ 23:59 EST to showcase their talents in a single Post, in this Thread. Remember, they can either keep going with the same talent or change to a new one at any time.
Well, that's it for now folks.

I'd like to applaud the 11 remaining contestants (including myself) for their superb 2nd round performances and wish them all luck in this 3rd round. I'm looking forward to seeing what they will showcase this week and to getting lots of votes on the weekend.

Until then, take care everybody!

Woock's messed up ideas - Current Edition

One day I was absentmindedly doodling in Paint and ended up with this:

Let's see, what is this? A tree. On a piece of land. Drifting through space. With an indirect approach to geometry, too. Simple, right? But most of all, INSPIRING.

Let's see, what can this piece inspire me to do. Drawing another picture, showing another island drifting through space? Perhaps with a mountain, or a city instead? Or an animation? A flash movie about its journey? Nope, I'm not going to go into none of that. Instead, let's design a computer game.

Gee, space travel. Such a broad subject, right? Let's see how it was exploited by game developers past and present. First, we have redundant shooters. Can't work with that, no. What else? 4X (explore, expand, exploit, exterminate) games like Master of Orion or Galactic Civilizations. Now we're getting somewhere. What else? How about the freelance game series, X2. I might be a bit off with the title, but I've never really played it, so bear with me. The part that I like in it (despite not having experienced it first-hand) is the obvious yet mindblowing concept. The player gets a small ship and some money with which to build his own plot. Oh sure, there is a storyline, but why bother with that when you can become a pirate or merchant or something and become the king of the hill in that department. This I can work with.

Now, floating islands. As far as I can tell, there has only been one game that utilised the concept, that being Netstorm. Netstorm is perhaps one of the most innovative RTS games ever. Looks like we're safe to use floating islands then.

But what does one have to do with the other? Well, having tried to combine Pacman with RPG or Tetris with MMO, I see nothing here to stop me.

First, let's blend the island concept into the freelance game concept. Why not use these islands as our vehicles instead of spaceships? Also, let us not discard the RTS heritage - an island means space for RTS-like micromanagement, with harvesting resources and producing units for island vs island combat.

Stop right there.

What resources? What units?
We need more detail in the setting department.

Let's look back at the picture for some more inspiration.

A tree on an island. Assuming that the island is big enough to put a town on, the tree is pretty damn huge. Perhaps it is partly hollow? This provides us with housing and a bit of an elvish feel. This in turn explains how the islands can possibly exist, without their inhabitants dying in the vacuum of space - MAGIC!

Okay, so this is all flavor and no mechanics. Well that's too bad, because I don't feel like delving into that part right now. But if I get voted into next week, I just might get back to it later.

My entry for this 3rd Round of the HC Talent Contest is an old-school song from my childhood, "The Power of Love", by Hewie Lewis & the News. I'm just having fun with this performance and not putting my main focus on quality, so I hope that you enjoy the energy that I bring to the song. Oh...and keep the votes coming for me as well!

{This WAV file is a 5.4 MB, so hopefully it won't take you too long to load & enjoy it.}

Remember to VOTE FOR ME!

P.S. My dog, Pikachu, sings back-up for me at a point during the song.

MY ENTRY!

I was planning to do something else this week but under the circumstances I decided to play around with another, easier choreography. The good news is that the quality is much higher for the 2.5 megs! The bad news is that now the movie is rotated in the right direction but the rotation has plumped me up because it spreads the screen to the side ! Just have that in mind before commenting on my lavish assets. :winky"

I'm sorry for the camerawork. I know it sucks. Unfortunately this was a last-second project, so the clip is shot in my room, on auto. In other words the reason why my poor arm is missing a hand a few times is because there was no one behind the camera to focus on me.

I sincerely hope you'll enjoy my dance! Have in mind that those who ultra-cool choreographies are on the making and ONLY YOUR VOTES will keep me in this contest enough for you to see them. ;-)

Thanks for watching my performance and of course, for voting for me.
