Map Editor: removing cave border, possible?

With the hints and tips in other topics on this forum, I am finally making some progress in exploring the various possibilities .

In campaign missions you have many roads coming from the edge of the map and quite often the game spawns a hero there (either for the player or the AI) to give the idea that the hero has just wandered onto the map from somewhere outside the map boundaries.

Nice, but I would like to also use this idea in a subterrainian map. However, after leveling the required cave area to create some space down below, I run into a wall - literally; I cannot seem to remove the cave walls at the very edge of the map, which prevents me from creating that "it's open and extends beyond the edge of the map" effect.

I guess this is something obvious as well, but I couldn't find out how. Anyone have a clue?

Havent tried it but I do know I usally use down lv border to hide things in to look like there sticking out, when I go to remove it b/c it may be wrong lets me delete it w/o deleting wall so as far as I know you cannot make a entry point under ground. If there's a certain fixed tile to use to remove it then its new to me but I'm 99.9% sure you cant make a entry point from beyound.
