Read the norwegian childrens book "Totten titter på natten" (meaning something like "Totten (this guy) has a peek at the night). Horrible! I couldn't sleep for years! They thought I suffered from Insomnia, when in reality, I suffered from Totten's nightly escapades!

Back on topic...
In Welsh folklaw the OWL (yes, Owl) is a monstor of kind, named 'Flowerface' after a deceitfull and evil woman created of flowers was turned into one after attempting to kill her husband (she actually turned him into a raven). and to this day, owls hide their faces during the day, as the other birds would attack them for what she once did...

Uhm.
Lorelei was a famous german mermaid.
And mermaids are fishy!
Because of Lorelei people confused mermaids with sirens.
Because lorelei was a mermaid with the singing abilities of an Siren.
Ther is a cliff in germany(if i'm not wrong)that is called to lorelei.
Lorelei should be the most beautifull mermaid of them all
