hint for noob h3 player
ok , hi 2 all here 1st of all , and i wanna say that this is a great forum
i only play h3sod with my friends on lan , and one day i tought i could search some h3 server ... i found out that the game spy arcade is the only way u can play h3 online
playin only on lan , im noob , i dont know how u pro guya play , i mean me and my friends play random maps , and we all try to get diplomacy to get some creatures to join us so we can attack the other early... u know stupid things
i was curios if some1 would wanna play a 2v2 so i can see whats the best way to play heroes ... and in plus i wanna beat my friends

Hi there.
We talked already yesterday on Gamespy if u remember.
There are a few players on GS who love to play 2vs2 allied games. Just ask around and be a bit patient, then u will get your game going.
Some hints:
In 99% of all online games, u rule out "game breaking" stuff to make the game more interesting and "skill oriented". Game breaking stuff in general are:
1. Diplomacy (boring)
2. Dimension Door (Guards are placed to fight them, mountains are placed to seperate.. )
3. Fly (See above)
4. Cartographer (View the whole map takes out the randomness and the surprise factor)
5. Misplaced guards (sometimes on random maps, a guard is placed in such a "bad way", u could either collect the artie without fighting, or pass into another area without fighting. In online games, u r not allowed to do so. EVERY unit on the map guards anything. First fight, then pass/collect)
These 3 things are "standard" on gamespy nowadays, some people add a few more things like:
"no hillfort" (hugh advantage if one has it, the other not),
"units from conservatories or dragonfly hives are not allowed to be upgraded" (Castle and Fortress would have a hugh advantage in such a case)
"no redrush" (means, red player is not allowed to buy fresh army at first day of a week and attack other player, because other didn't had the chance to buy those fresh army aswell)

ofc i remeber u
anyway ill learn more on h3 when ill see some1 play "live" in a 2v2
and is gamespyarcade the only way to play h3 online ?
