How did you first got involved in HOMM?
I got involved in it when I got a demo for HOMM2.
You could play as all the town types, too on the demo.

It was 6/7 years ago when i found heroes 1 played it then i found out that there was heroes 2 so i bought it and played it and still play heroes 2 when SoD came out i bought it but then i notice i still have a 6 years old pc so SoD is very slow so i've played it few times and stop when my pc crashed that was just a year ago and i still have that 6 years old pc 
PS. u r using a custom avatar !! i think u need to change it

Oddly enough, my younger brother introduced me to Heroes2...way back in 1997-1998 area. When Heroes3 came out, I got a copy of it from my dorm buddies and I've been playing it off and on since then.

...no problem man...the tip is to simply choose an avatar that nobody is currently using (any recent contributors at least)...
...btw, you could also find your own pic if you like...that way you know nobody else uses it (I linked a couple pics in titan's thread in the Tavern...if they get uploaded, please feel free to use one, if you mind not having a face  )

To start of when i first heard about heroes 1 though it was an almost a direct rip off of a game i was playing called MASTER OF MAGIC. I was totally hooked on this game and at the time Heroes looked like a jazzed up version of MoM. Anyway as computer systems were changing and going with the time i found it increasing difficult to play MOM because it was a DOS based game and Win95 had problems with various DOS games.
Eventually when MoM was no longer on my system i decided to play the demo of H1 and found myself addicted to the game but did not buy it.
It was only when i had Win98 did I buy the heroes 1 & 2 with the expansion pack and then on never looked back. No even to heroes 1 beacuse heroes 2 was far superior and more addictive.
And there we have it

At that time I thought that the greatest game ever was Civilization. So three friends decided to show me better games. We went to the home of one of them and played Heroes 2. That was a Hot Seat game, I think we played the Seven Lakes scenario. But even after we played some hours they couldn't persuade me that Heroes 2 was better than the Civilization. After a few months I saw a better game. And it was... Civilization 2!
After a while I saw Heroes 3 and it was realy a concurent of Cicilization 2...

it all started when i went to my friends house. he had Heroes3 and he taught my brother and i how to play.after that my family moved, and he said hed get me heroes.on my birthday he got me Heroes Complete and ive been playing it ever since.thats how i got started!

One of my friends had Heroes 2. The day after I played it there I went and bought it. I got Heroes 3, AB, and SoD right away when they came out, and I plan to do so again for Heroes 4.

Did any of you get the Heroes of Might and Magic Millenium edition which included HOMM, HOMM2, HOMM2 expansion,and HOMM3?
